This is particularly important in sciences and tricky maths! Practice makes perfect, but it has to be the right type! An understanding of where the marks are allocated can make this much easier. Play the game? Exams to me represent not just a factual recall or knowledge application test, but a strategic challenge where tactics, organisation and creative, targeted revision are rewarded. Strategically approaching exams with an eye to exam technique and ‘playing the mark scheme’ has always helped me get the best results.
