I offer all levels of English for foreign learners and focus on speaking, listening, reading and writing skills depending on what the student's priorities are. I offer exam preparation for the following: all Cambridge English exams including B1, B2, C1, C2. The IELTS exam, Trinity College SELTS exams, (UK visas, UK visa renewal, Indefinite Leave to Remain, British Citizenship). Lessons can be face-to- face on ONLINE via Zoom.

I also specialise in Business English, and have taught lots of people in banks, law firms, and investment companies over the years in The City. The lessons can include writing business emails, interpreting graphs, bar charts and pie charts, improving presentation skills, building confidence in business meeting or negotiations. I believe that having the correct language and using it appropriately helps my students to gaining confidence and perform better in the workplace, enabling them to climb the career ladder.

An innovative, creative and inspiring Qualified Languages Teacher and Translator of Italian, Spanish, English and Romanian.
With a variegated ten-year working experience in different contexts, countries and with multicultural groups of students, I aim to offer a first-hand experience of what exactly speaking, thinking and reacting in a new language means.

With excellent results, I fully exploit the potential of authentic materials (songs, short films, films, books, newspaper articles, literature) and drama techniques, which I had the opportunity to deeply research at the Institute of Education - University of London, and subsequently put into practice in the London schools for which I worked.

My lessons are always student-centred, interactive, stimulating and related to real life, cultural situations and/or to exam requirements (GCSE, A-levels, International Baccalaureate, IELTS, TEFL, PLIDA, CELI), according to my students' needs.

I place high value on mutual respect, cooperation and active participation, the use of humour and imagination.

During my lessons I help students learn and correctly pronounce vocabulary, grammar, reading, speaking, writing and understanding Spanish. I use various teaching methods suited to student’s level and age. I speak to my students mostly in Spanish and repeat with them keywords/phrases so that their knowledge is more enhanced.

I also have full working proficiency in English, having completed English Language and Literature for A-level, and I provide lessons for English too.

English SL and Higher Level for the International Baccalaureate is a rigorous course, especially for ESL students. I completed the IB with HL English and received a 7 (highest mark) in my final exam. I will be able to go over both Standard Level and Higher Level syllabuses for the course specific to the material covered in your school, and prepare you for mock and final exams. I will include essay writing skills, literary criticism and analysis, as well as vocabulary expansion techniques in my teaching. A brief overview of the key features of English SL/HL as set by the International Baccalaureate Organisation:

• Higher level study requires a minimum of 240 class hours, while standard level study requires a minimum of 150 class hours
• Students study 13 works at higher level and 9 works at standard level from a representative selection of literary forms, periods and places
• Students develop the ability to engage in close, detailed analysis of literary works, building understanding of the techniques involved in literary criticism
• The study of literary works in context is emphasised, and through the study of literature in translation the student is challenged to reflect on the role of cultural assumptions in interpretation
• Students are assessed through a combination of formal examination and oral and written coursework.
• The formal examination comprises two essay papers, one requiring the analysis of a passage of unseen literary text, and the other comparative response to a question based on two works studied
• Students also perform an oral activity presenting their analysis of two works studied
