Studying Engineering and Finance allowed me to understand the difficulties that students have to overcome to learn, especially when it comes to subjects that are still somewhat new. Teaching and helping in these subjects (math, physics) is my way of being part of society.
In these courses, I will provide students with all the necessary tools to learn and master their subjects and teach them how to use them in competitive exams like SATs, GRE, GMAT.

My teaching philosophy is centered around creating a supportive and engaging learning environment that caters to the unique needs of each student. I am passionate about the English language and making it accessible to students of varying backgrounds. I specialize in tutoring English and the three English language sections of the SAT. The structue of my coures are flexible and depends on the English level of the student and the student's goal. I assign homework weekly and provide periodic progress reports.

I graduated cum laude from Harvard with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and am currently doing PhD. in Physics. I have over 4 years of teaching experience, both at the high school and university level in a wide array of subjects (physics, chemistry, mechanics, ESL, Latin, etc) I am trained in using different teaching approaches to adapt to each individual student to provide the most effective lesson plan.

I have 21 years of in-person tutoring and 13 years of online tutoring experience in the world's most competitive markets: New York, London, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Istanbul and more. I’ve recently moved to Paris and want to do the same here.

I am an expert in the following areas: all Math subjects up to Multi-variable Calculus, Physics, essay writing and literary composition, all areas of the SAT and ACT, the math sections/exams of the IB, AP, GMAT, GRE, GCSE and A-Levels tests/programs, film & video studies and production.

I have prepared many students for Ivy League and Oxbridge admission, helped some achieve perfect SAT scores, created and taught a course at Columbia University, and tutored students at Eton and Harrow in the UK (where the Royal Family sends its children) and Brearley, Packer Collegiate, Saint Ann’s and other top schools in New York.

Recently I was the main SAT course provider for the International School of Prague - the largest and most reputable international school in the Czech Republic - over a period of three years. I am also an industry expert in online tutoring: for the last 13 years I have taught well over a hundred students in five continents - completely online - for advanced subjects such as AP Calculus, A-Level Physics and IB Essay composition.

I am a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and a native English speaker, born and raised in the US before moving to Europe more than 15 years ago. When I’m not tutoring or consulting education companies on their technological needs, I’m usually working on screenplays or films. Or traveling... at least I was before the pandemic :)

I have worked for 5 years now with kids from international schools, helping them with the preparation of tests such as the SAT and ACT.
I believe that the key for a successful preparation of a challenging test such as the SAT is exercise, in fact I believe that is crucial to start the preparation with an adequate advance to gain confidence with the standard exercises we can find in the exam.
My lessons are based on mock exercises: we go through them together seeing what are the student's gaps and then reviewing the theory of those gaps.
I also believe that my method I successful since I can relate to the fear and anxiety a student preparing such a stressful exam is living, having prepared it not so long ago.

I offer one-to-one SAT preparation sessions for students in Paris looking to enter American Universities.

My lessons will focus on both the reading and writing sections and mathematics section. For the first I will work with students to improve their English reading and reasoning ability and practice writing the short essays on the topics from past-papers. The maths sessions will include close work on previous problems and general mathematics principles required for the exam.

I will also review exam technique and approach with my students. The SATs/ACT are long exams with high-time pressure and good time management is crucial for achieving a high score.

A little more about me: I am English/Irish and live in Paris. I entered the US university system as a foreign student after achieving a 1480 in my SATs in 2016. I attended New York University (2016-2020) achieving a GPA of 3.96 and finished in the top 1% of my graduation class. I also completed the post-graduate GRE aptitude tests and achieved scores in the 91st percentile. I then attended École Normale Supérieure and attained my masters' degree in 2022.
