I graduated in Political and Economic Science at the University of Milan. After working for a year for an American company in Milan, I moved to Australia, where I have worked, studied and traveled for two years.
It has been an incredible experience! I had the opportunity of visiting beautiful places, discovering so many different cultures and developed myself from a personal and professional point of view.
Since two years, I have been living in Haarlem - a wonderful city close to Amsterdam - and to the coast 🌊 - in the Netherlands. I love teaching and helping people to find out more about Italian culture, history, and arts. I would love to use all the modern techniques of teaching that I learned and practiced them with you. I'm specifically focused on English education through applied linguistics, language acquisition and performance methodologies, such as the use of English as a Lingua Franca amongst native and non-native speakers. I have earned certificates in Teaching English as a Foreign Language(TEFL-320hr) and Hatha Yoga & Meditation Instruction(CYT-200hr). Continuing education has helped me to recognize the enormous importance of individual learning in combination with group work/training and feedback to improve one's practice and performance. I am an Italian native speaker with a bachelor in Italian Literature and Linguistics. In Italy, I usually teach English to high school students​, or adults who want to improve their skills with this language. Usually, I tend to use a non-academic approach, by focusing on the student's interests and make him/her applying the language to their everyday life, instead of simply learning the grammar rules by heart. Latin is fascinating and, despite its reputation of being a dead language, it can still be useful today. However, being unique, it is not always easy to understand its grammar and syntax and translating from Latin can be hard. Having studied it since when I was thirteen and with two cum-laude degrees in Classics, I know Latin deeply. Moreover, I have experience in giving classes to high school students, therefore I am aware of its difficulties and I know how to tackle possible hurdles in the most appropriate way for each student.
