You will become confident in your use of English language use in all areas: speaking, reading, listening and writing, by following professional lesson plans, which can often be accompanied by a video or audio file. These documents are all topic based and thereby build and check vocabulary understanding, check comprehension of text and encourage speaking: opinion, debate occasionally critical thinking.

You an attend lesson for general, business or exam preparation purposes.

Classes are relaxed yet professional; you are fully supported in a patient and encouraging environment. You can ask as many questions as you need to make sure that the topic and/or exercises are clear to you. You as the student are also allowed to bring your own ideas for topic discussion to class and, if we do not complete a document because we have gotten into an alternative conversation, it is not a problem. Also, if you wish additional written practice homework, we can discuss and apply this.

About Me

I enjoy teaching because of the variety of people I get to meet. It offers me the opportunity to learn about new cultures and more importantly, help people achieve their goals relating to English language use.

I am a patient and understanding teacher who encourages questions. Quick and repetitive correction; lots of discussion; fun and familiar topics. I believe in broadening the mind so you will also read and discuss an article that focuses on a topic which you know little about, but learn new vocabulary and gain insight.

I have along (administrative) background in Law, having worked as a Legal Secretary for 16 years. I also have a passion for wellness/meditation and overall mental health.

My tutor successes are those Eureka moment when things finally fix together; also those moments when a student discusses a successful presentation and their confidence to not only make the presentation but make comfortable small talk; their passing of an exam or indeed travel to an English speaking country. I am also a Registered TOLES Centre (individual) with TOLES Legal, which enables me to teach and prepare students for the TOLES Legal exam.
