I recently graduated from a Russell Group university where I studied Archaeology. I aim to help undergraduate students in Archaeology, or similar fields, improve their essay writing abilities.

Essay writing skills are key no matter what year of university you are in, and are something that can always be improved upon. We can focus on the basics of structure and referencing, or on more specific aspects needed to get the higher grades- the classes can be tailored to your needs.

We can go through mock essay questions, as well as work you have already submitted, and had returned, in order to be able to see what areas you have to work on most, and- more importantly, what aspects of essay writing you are getting right!

As a lawyer by training and an independent legal consultant, creating the Right to Knowledge is a breath of fresh air. My main area of expertise is European and arthouse cinema, with a particular interest in directors who have transformed cinematic language, such as Ingmar Bergman, Federico Fellini, Andrei Tarkovsky, Jean-Luc Godard, and Michael Haneke. Philosophy is one of the most rewarding subjects a student can study, and one of the most demanding. I tutor philosophy and ethics at A-Level (AQA and OCR), IB Diploma, and undergraduate level, working with students from confident philosophers preparing for top university applications to beginners encountering rigorous philosophical thinking for the first time.

Sessions are tailored to each student. With exam-track students I focus on essay structure, argument construction, careful textual analysis, and the specific demands of the syllabus. With students preparing for Oxbridge applications and interviews, I work on intellectual flexibility, handling unfamiliar questions under pressure, and developing the rigorous reasoning admissions tutors look for.
