Learn Piano the way it pleases you!

I'm a pianist with over 25 years of experience in Classical Music. I started playing classical piano at 5 years old.
I took three semesters of a Bachelor in Piano course at UECE - University of the State of Ceará, in Brazil, but I have been giving private piano lessons, even before that, for 15 years, the youngest of my students being 4 years old.

In 2015 I performed, at the Lutherse Kerk with the Valerius Symphonic Student Orchestra, Shostakovich’s Symphony nr. 5. At the time I was doing an exchange program in Industrial Design at The Hague University of Applied Sciences.

I have far more experience with Classical Music, but I also played rock in a few bands. I also studied Electronic music production, so I'm very open to whatever type of music you want to learn.

I used to teach to all levels, but in 2019 I suffered a stroke that left me with a disability that only allows me to teach beginners.

Please feel free to tell me what is your intention in learning piano, whether it's playing Classical Music, learning songs by ear, or Music Theory, you name it. I'll be glad to give my best to help you achieve your goals.

I am a French historical and modern horn player based in The Hague. I have played the Horn since I was 4 years old and I have two Master's degrees in modern horn and natural horn. I offer you lessons on modern and historical instruments, as well as music theory.

I work with all ages, all levels, and all objectives, and I can even work with other brass. If you want to discover the instrument or perfect it, if you need theory support or practice help, I will adapt my methods to your needs to offer you quality musical time!

I have taught children and adults since 2017, and I truly love leading people their way to enjoyable, musical, and informed brass playing.

My lessons include warmups, technique, working on pieces of various repertoire, playing in duo with me, and more. For music theory, I like to come up with playful exercises of my own according to the student's needs and level.

I have also attended music theory classes for 6 years because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. Big music from small instruments.

Mandolin and Ukulele have been quite a hype in the past 10 years. Nevertheless, these two small ones are not often used up to their full potential. Have you ever thought you could be a virtuoso in one of these instruments? That you could actually play in many different style and be a great soloist as much as a violinist or a guitarist?

Aside from learning the basics, I will show alternative tunings that will provide you with a better sound, a bigger range to play in, more versatility and comfort for the hand, awesome voicings and a clear visual map of chords, scales, and harmonic movements. I will help you to rethink the mandolin and the ukulele as truly complete and professional instruments and show you how to play on them in a broad variety of styles such as folk, blues, pop, rock, and jazz.

This class is meant to guide you from the very first steps on your instrument up to a professional level. From beginners to advanced musicians who want to challenge themselves and enlarge their perspective on the instrument.

There are two grand pianos at the location in Den Haag.

For children, it is important to develop basic musical skills through Singing, Rythmique, and Ear training besides piano playing. I use one technical exercise book, the main textbook, and a theory book. Through these 3 books, students learn different aspects of music and they naturally get ready for exams and grades.

After acquiring basic skills, students study Harmony and Chord exercises too. These are useful for playing pops and jazz, and they obtain a deeper understanding of classical pieces too.

Private Piano lesson, from age 4 and above. Children can start the lesson after being able to read the numbers from 1 to 5 and the alphabet from A to G.

Advanced students who want to prepare for competitions, auditions, ABRSM, GCSE, IB exams, or the entrance exam of the conservatory.

The concert is held annually together with students of flute, violin, and composition teachers.

For the ages 1-7 years, I have group Rhythmique lessons.

This class is both for people without any prior knowledge of music production and sound engineering and for people who wish to improve their skills. You will learn how to use computer software for RECORDING, COMPOSING, MIXING and MASTERING songs. You will also learn microphone techniques for recording acoustic instruments and voice.
With this knowledge you will be able to produce music in all genres: pop, hip hop, rock, EDM, etc.

Music has always been my biggest passion and I really enjoy sharing it with other people. My main music genres are pop, rnb, ballades, a bit of jazz, and soul.
I can read musical notes, but I mainly play by ear (which can be learned too!). I am into music theory and how it helps to understand what one hears and plays.

- how to record, edit and mix sounds using both conventional and experimental techniques.

- how to document and communicate procedures related to your artistic practice.
- how to create an artistic portfolio.

Aspiring musicians with a background in any genre can take advantage of this course. A formal education in music or experience with electronic music composition are not required to follow. However, you should be unafraid of experimenting with sound and music technology! Each class is customized to meet the needs of the individual student in an innovative and flexible way! The course can also serve as a preparation for applying to several Dutch educational programmes related to electronic music composition (Institute of Sonology, HKU, ArtEZ, etc.).

The class is focused on small assignments that help the student develop a sense of orientation and set goals.
Recording, editing, and mixing will be done via the DAW "Reaper," but we can switch to your preferred software at any time. We will use the first lesson to discuss your background, interests, and motivations in order to develop a course structure that is tailored to your needs.

I am offering lessons in playing the traverse modern flute as well as historical flutes and music theory at any level, from the beginner to the professional.
This course, based on more than 10 years of experience in teaching, offers private lessons where everyone can find their unique contact with their instrument, deepen their relationship with music and develop a unique way of expressing themselves through music making.
I teach from international method books and adjust my methods to the individual needs of each student. Taking two courses of the Alexander technique also helped me to develop an understanding of the essential connection between the body and our minds. This awareness can be very helpful not only for our musical performances, but also for our everyday lives. Max for Live is a tool bundled with Ableton Live that lets you program your own instruments and effects without writing a single line of code. With this course you will get a better understanding of the components of a synthesizer, learn the fundamentals of some of the most known and recognizable effects and learn some basic notions of programming.

Max uses a visual approach to programming, meaning you do not have to right codes to make your own plugins, instead you connect blocks that each have a specific function into an interconnected network that make a functioning instrument or effect.

By learning how to make your own plugin you will also gain a better understanding of how digital audio works, making you more aware of what your are doing in Ableton and more efficient.

Anything that is part of a fundamental understanding of music, e.g. music theory, solfège, rhythm and piano will be taught. For me it is very important that the lessons is specifically made for the students regarding content and length. If asked violin and ballett can be taught as well. In that way the necessary aspects of a well rounded musician can be built up.

My name is Wimian Hernandez. I am from Cuba and I am graduated from the Royal Conservatory of the Hague with a Master degree in Classical Double bass.I am currently doing the Academy of NederlandPhilharmonic and Kamerorkest I have been in the world of Classical music since 15 years ago having a complete education in Piano, Theory music double bass and Music History. Since I arrived in the Hague (almost 4 years ago) I started to teach the piano to kids and It has been wonderful to see how they progress and how fast they learn it.
