With over 15 years of teaching experience, I offer private guitar lessons in many styles for all ages and all levels. I am also an active performer, mostly performing my own singer-songwriter music in the folk-rock genre. I am from Los Angeles originally where I received my degree in music with a minor in Classical Guitar from California State University, Northridge. I have been playing guitar since I was 11 years old. Back in those days, I was mostly inspired by rock music, learning to play by ear by listening to the radio. Later, I went to Conservatory and studied classical music, therefore learning in a more structured way. This gives me a unique approach to teaching, because I understand playing by ear and feeling, as well as having a background in music theory. It is a mix of these two worlds that I offer in my lessons. In this way, my students progress quickly while having a basis of how music works so that they can continue to grow for endless years to come. My approach to teaching is to get lasting results for the students and to make sure they have a great time. The lessons are light and joyful, as music should be. I work hard to make sure my students experience the rewards of reaching new plateaus regularly as they progress. It is also important to me that my students play songs/pieces that they enjoy playing. We will discuss your musical tastes, or work to discover the musical tastes of your child. I teach electric and acoustic guitar in many guitar based genres of music, including every type of rock music and pop music, blues and funk, etc. Lessons I offer are tailored to the specific needs and abilities of each individual student. If you are a beginner and don't have all the equipment, don't worry, I own several guitars, two guitar amplifiers and many effect pedals, so even if you don't have all the equipment yourself we can have a fully productive lesson at my home. I have almost 20 years of experience in playing the guitar and great knowledge of the specifics of guitar playing in each individual genre that I am teaching. Whatever you wish to play, you will be able to master during lessons with me.

Enthusiastic guitar tutor and performer. I started playing classical guitar at the age of 6, and my formal musical education began at the age of 9 when I started attending a music school in Croatia. After 6 years of primary school, I continued studying classical guitar at a secondary music school in Varazdin, Croatia. During that period I received training in classical harmony, Counterpoint (polyphony), Solfeggio, Music history and gained plenty of experience in orchestral playing and choral singing. I decided to continue my musical education in Manchester where I was studying for an undergraduate degree at the Royal Northern College of Music and currently I am studying at the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague. As a performing guitarist, I have successfully participated and won prizes in a number of international competitions in the UK, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Hercegovina. Although my studies are primarily related to classical music, I am comfortable playing and performing music in a range of other styles and genres. I am also experienced with mandolin and Croatian folk instrument called tamburitza.

I’m Emiliano an Italian Jazz guitarist based in Den Haag (NL), currently studying at the Royal Conservatory (Den Haag) During the high school years in Italy I have been collaborating as a guitarist and by offering support to the arrangement for the yearly school concerts with renowned musicians like the world- famous violin player Alessandro Quarta, the singer and conductor Carolina Bubbico, the jazz saxophone player and artistic director of the "Locomotive Jazz Festival" Raffaele Casarano, the producer and multi-instrumentalist Filippo Bubbico. I also collaborated with the actor Fabrizio Saccomanno by playing in the ensemble accompanying a theatrical representation of the Dante's "Inferno" adapted by Fabrizio Saccomanno himself and played at the Teatro Apollo in Lecce. 2016 - present: During the second year of the high school, intrigued by the jazz singing lessons I was attending, I started exploring and appreciating the jazz music and I started approaching it on the guitar by attending private lessons with the teachers Andrea Favatano and Giancarlo Del Vitto. The passion for jazz music has grown in me ever since, so much so that today it represents my favourite genre when playing or listening to music. During 2018 I attended two seminars: - a one-week jazz guitar and ensemble music seminar with Mike Moreno, Aaron Parks, Matt Brewer and Kendrick Scott in Fara Sabina, near Rome - Italy; - a one-week harmony and ensemble music seminar with Barry Harris in Rome - Italy. During 2019 I attended several seminars and masterclasses: - a one-day guitar masterclass with Scott Henderson in Martano (LE) - Italy; - a one-day bass masterclass with John Patitucci in Matera - Italy; - a one-day jazz ensemble music masterclass with Luca Alemanno in Lecce - Italy; - a two-day guitar masterclass with Jesse van Ruller in Pomarico (MT) - Italy; - a one-day guitar masterclass with Peter Bernstein in Trepuzzi (LE) - Italy. 2020- in the Netherlands I had the opportunity to perform in theaters like Tivoli Vredenburg (Utrecht) , Perdu (Amsterdam), Compagnie Theater (Amsterdam) and others 2020- I’m currently studying with jazz Guitarist Matijn Van Ieterson, 2021 I had the possibility to work and study with great musicians like Pedro Martins, Chris Cheek, Simon Moullier, Antoine Boyer, Philip Maniez ( big band project). I have been teaching for more than six years now and I managed to come up with an easy and approachable method for anyone who wants to learn the ways of this beautiful instrument. I started playing the guitar at the age of twelve years old, thru high school and that eventually led me to the National Conservatory of Bucharest, Romania, where I refined my playing and begun teaching. I am going to encourage you every step of the way with much needed advice on the right technique, score reading, so that you quickly gain confidence in your playing. I put a high importance on technique and theory because these two aspect, as well as your daily practice, are what will make you have fast progress and thus loads of fun along the way.

Music has always been my biggest passion and I really enjoy sharing it with other people. My main music genres are pop, rnb, ballades, a bit of jazz and soul. I can read music notes, but I mainly play by ear (which can be learned too!). I am into music theory and how it helps to understand what one hears and plays. When it comes to singing, I know some basic techniques and can help with pitch, harmonizing, control and feeling comfortable/confident when singing. I can teach some basics about improvisation and composition

The goals can be different for everyone, but we will think our music making beyond our lessons rooms - it will boosts your motivations! You can expect a lot imageries and creativity in our lessons; it not only make us more musical, but it helps our motor skills as well. You will learn different styles, technique, self expression, and skills to make music together. A bit of music theory and solfege will always be a part of our lessons, and if you want to have more emphasis on them, we can do that, too. You can always bring them if you find a nice piece that you want to learn. You will have occasional performance opportunities ensemble opportunities as well.
