Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. I have 9 years of practice teaching people how to do it. We work together step by step to understand the technique, the way to prepare wooden panel to paint an icon and the techniques of making a good project to make the icon fit to the board. We also learn how to make gold leaf layer on the nimbs. Your icon will be a real, crafted icon.

We study together -from the original text along with the translation- selections from Holy Texts related to Jesus Christ’s life on earth, while exploring Byzantine Hymns and customs from the Orthodox Tradition in general. We focus on the religious, theological or historical and cultural context and at the same time apropos- check on the several primary phenomena of the Greek Language. A glance on melodies of the Byzantine Hymnology is also included in this series of sessions that unfold the greatness of Christianity!

Together, we'll explore core questions in philosophy of religion: Does God exist? What's the difference between religion and spirituality? Is it possible to prove that there is a supernatural realm? What does a materialist worldview imply about the existence of the mind - or the soul? Can life be meaningful without faith? Whether you just started thinking more about these issues - or have been pondering these questions for a while - this class will help you gain clarity about your beliefs (and experiences) and help you move forward in your journey.

In our session we will draw your tarot and oracle cards that you will choose from those I have and I will read them to you intuitively. You could ask a question that's stuck in your head on any topic and we'll take it slow and see what the cards have to offer. I also have a lot of crystals at my house so you could also choose some and we can see what they say about you. If you wish, we can also do a small purification session before using sage or palo santo. Meditation is a skill that can help guide you through life's ups and downs. Learning to calm the mind and body then use skills to examine the experiences we have in order to come to new understandings of how we suffer. We will learn basic mindfulness of the breath and bodily sensations, how to bring up loving-kindness and compassion for oneself and others plus learning the basic tenets of Buddhism including impermanence, unsatisfactoriness and not-self or emptiness. I was an ordained Buddhist nun in the Theravada tradition for 11 years and continue to practise this path daily. My teacher was Ajahn Sumedho (senior student of Ajahn Chah) who gave his blessing for me to continue teaching out of the monastery. Guidance will be given so that you will be able to foster a regular meditation practise navigating any obstacles along the way in a way that enriches understanding.
