If Italy gave me the passion of sharing and communication (a typical Italian characteristic), Belgium taught me to convey a message, an idea in a concrete way. My meeting with Mr Lawson also made me aware of the importance in the life of an artist to share his knowledge, and teaching is for me the best way to put this sharing into practice.

My name is Juliette, a young professional violinist who obtained my master's degree at the Brussels Conservatory in 2018 in the class of Shirly Laub. With my experience, I offer violin and music theory lessons. I have been teaching the violin for 10 years, while continuing my activity as a substitute at the National Orchestra of Belgium and at the Brussels Philharmonic. I like to help pupils to develop good technical skills in a fun way, always applying technique to targeted repertoire and keeping in mind that technique is nothing but a means of expressing ourselves through music. In these classes, we will approach the traditional instrumental repertoire with an original point of view, analyzing all scales, ornaments and elements of virtuosity. Shalan is a Syrian violinist and composer. Although he was educated as a classical violinist, he has performed in several orchestras and ensembles of Arabic music, with some of the most outstanding Arab singers such as Fairouz, Marcel Khalifa, Rima Khsaish and others. The academy offers more than 50 courses of traditional music and dance from around the world. From the oud to the kora through the gypsy guitar, the tango violin or the Brazilian drums, all classes are given by professional musicians and dancers in different locations in Brussels.
