Music is a language. It has its own 'alphabet,' which is the foundation of any language, essential for communication. You can't read without knowing the alphabet. That's why building a solid foundation is so important to me. I'm very passionate about teaching piano and I love it. My piano lessons include music theory, ear training, finger exercises, and scales. We're happy to explore the music you enjoy and choose. By arrangement, I can also record children and introduce them to the world of electronic music.

Mein musikalischer Werdegang Ich wurde in Athen 1988 geboren und bin auf Tinos, einer Insel in Griechenland, aufgewachsen. Musik ist das wichtigste Kapitel in meinem Leben. Das Zuhause meiner Eltern war, seit ich mich erinnern kann, voll mit Melodien. Lautsprecher in fast jedem Raum. Ich habe ein zahlreiches Musikrepertoire gehört, unter anderem Klassische Musik, Rock, Pop, griechische Musik. Mit acht Jahren fuhr ich mit meinem Fahrrad über die Straße. Neben mir rauschte das Meer und plötzlich hörte ich Melodien von einem Klavier. In diesem Moment habe ich mich entschieden, dass ich Klavier lernen möchte. Ich wollte das Weltall mit schönen Melodien überschwemmen. Seitdem stöbere und experimentiere ich daran, meinen inneren Kosmos mit dem Kosmos der Musik in Kontakt zu bringen. Mit 19 zog ich nach Berlin, um meine Musik und mein kulturelles Wissen und mich selbst weiterzuentwickeln. Da besuchte ich die Deutsche Pop Akademie, um eine Ausbildung zu machen. Im Alter von 22 Jahren habe ich als Musikkomponistin, -assistentin, -arrangeurin und -orchestratorin absolviert. Mit 23 habe ich mein Klavierdiplom in Klassischer Musik erhalten. Da ich mir damals in Berlin keinen privaten Lehrer leisten konnte, habe ich mich für das Diplom selbst vorbereitet und trotzdem mit Auszeichnung absolviert. Alle Musikinstrumente faszinieren mich und aus diesem Grund habe ich mich auch mit anderen Musikinstrumenten (Saxophon, Gitarre, Mundharmonika) sowie Musikrichtungen (Blues, Jazz) beschäftigt. Dadurch habe ich gelernt, dass Musik in allen Richtungen etwas gemeinsam hat: 'Expression'. Musik ist die Sprache der Seele. Zurzeit arbeite ich an der Musikproduktion meiner eigenen Musik, womit ich auch als One-Woman-Band unter dem Namen 'CALMDOWN' (cålɱ↓) auftrete oder mit Band . Meine Musik ist eine Fantasiereise durch Bilder und Geräusche. Dadurch habe ich viel Musikerfahrung gesammelt. Ich kollaboriere noch mit verschiedenen Künstlern als Songwriterin, Sängerin, Musikkomponistin und Musikproduzentin. Die letzten 10 Jahre unterrichte ich Klavier. Darüber hinaus habe ich ein Orchesterstück für einen Kurzfilm komponiert, das Radio-Intro für griechische Radiosendungen gemacht sowie Musik für eine App gemacht. Außerdem bin ich noch Mitglied als Lead-Vocalist in einem anderen Musikprojekt namens EKATI. I am professionally trained classical saxophone player and teacher.
Over the years I have had the opportunity to teach and perform in Europe (Slovenia, Austria, United Kingdom, Germany) and USA (St. Louis). I have worked with students aged from 5 to high school level, as well as adult beginners.

Teaching using a French school method of saxophone I specializing in classical and contemporary music literature.
I incorporate some music theory, specialize in building the correct saxophone embouchure (or the correct lipping), overtone technique for advanced students , airstream production and correct breathing technique. Adapting specific saxophone-technique methods to each student's needs and progress.

Finding lessons fun is important for the success of learning an instrument so I always do my best to keep our lessons relaxed and engaging.

My name is Sara and I'm a classical pianist and piano teacher. I have been a pianist for about 15 years and started teaching it a while ago as well. I offer lessons in 3 different languages ( English, Arabic and German) for both beginner and intermediate levels.

I believe music should be enjoyed and comfortably played, allowing people to both connect with it and understand while challenging them to express themselves in new and different ways. Music lessons are fun and will be set to make the student confident and comfortable in their playing. If any student needs extra time or space to feel secure and safe, I will offer as much understanding and security as I can.
Trust is my number one motto, if for any reason a student feels pressured or uncomfortable they can come and talk to me directly and we shall figure out a way to make music learning fun and enjoyable for them.

I started learning piano at the age of five and was lucky enough to work with the same teacher for thirteen years. During my university years at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg and the Universität der Künste Berlin, I had the chance to experience different teachers and approaches to music. Through this, I came to understand how important it is to find a teacher you connect with, and how our needs can change throughout our musical journey.

In my teaching, I prioritise giving my students the tools they need to become independent musicians themselves: knowing how to practise effectively, improving their sight-reading skills (which opens up an entire library of music), understanding their own strengths and areas where they can improve, and building a solid foundation of basic music theory as far as it is relevant for their piano playing.

A typical lesson looks like this: we start with a warm-up, review the previous week's practice, work on current repertoire, and set clear goals for the week ahead. I focus on helping students approach new music with more understanding and confidence.

At the same time, I feel that individuality can sometimes be overlooked in the process of improving as musicians. For me, it is equally important to leave space for creativity, through improvisation, exploring different interpretation options, listening to different recordings, and discovering different repertoire or musical styles.

Ich habe im Alter von fünf Jahren mit dem Klavierspielen begonnen und hatte das Glück, dreizehn Jahre lang mit derselben Lehrerin zu arbeiten. Während meiner Studienzeit an der Universität Mozarteum Salzburg und der Universität der Künste Berlin hatte ich die Möglichkeit, verschiedene Lehrer und unterschiedliche musikalische Ansätze kennenzulernen. Dadurch habe ich verstanden, wie wichtig es ist, eine Lehrperson zu finden, mit der man gut zusammenpasst, und dass sich unsere Bedürfnisse im Laufe unserer musikalischen Entwicklung verändern können.

In meinem Unterricht ist es mir wichtig, meinen Schüler die Werkzeuge zu geben, die sie brauchen, um selbstständige Musiker zu werden: zu wissen, wie man effektiv übt, die eigenen Fähigkeiten im Blattspiel weiterzuentwickeln (was einem eine ganze Bibliothek an Musik eröffnet), die eigenen Stärken und Bereiche zur Verbesserung zu erkennen und eine solide Grundlage in der Musiktheorie aufzubauen – soweit sie für das eigene Klavierspiel relevant ist.

Eine typische Unterrichtsstunde sieht folgendermaßen aus: Wir beginnen mit einem Warm-up, schauen uns die Übewoche an, arbeiten am aktuellen Repertoire und setzen klare Ziele für die kommende Woche. Dabei möchte ich meinen Schüler helfen, neue Musik mit mehr Verständnis und Selbstvertrauen zu erarbeiten.

Gleichzeitig habe ich das Gefühl, dass die eigene Individualität im Prozess der musikalischen Weiterentwicklung manchmal zu kurz kommt. Für mich ist es genauso wichtig, Raum für Kreativität zu schaffen, durch Improvisation, das Ausprobieren verschiedener Interpretationsmöglichkeiten, das Anhören unterschiedlicher Aufnahmen und das Entdecken verschiedener Repertoires oder musikalischer Stile.
