Creativity is an extension of play, and creativity flows best in an encouraging, relaxed, and fun environment, so that is a priority to me in my approach to these lessons. I want to guide you in the practical aspects but also provide dynamic support (the creative process is not always straightforward!)

I have a BA in Illustration, 3 years experience teaching a comics class for kids aged 6+, and 10 years as a professional working artist specialising in narrative and comic illustration.

Suggested topics include: basic drawing, and using tools, style, colour, movement, composition, writing, character design, anatomy drawing, storyboarding, and lettering.

I’m Colleen. I have been working as an artist and illustrator for just over a decade. Creative work is my biggest passion! I am a big believer in following your own curiosity, and that is the way I like to learn. I love to read and I have many broad interests spanning birds, history, folklore and mythology.
I have a friendly and open attitude. I am currently working on 2 graphic novels. I am very active in my personal creative practice, that sees me working on projects from murals to tattooing.

why draw, how to draw?

- in a world where everyone can take photos with their cell phone, why still draw?

- Is drawing an attempt to capture reality or is it a tool to comment on it?

The lessons are an invitation for beginners and advanced learners to try out various practical techniques and discuss the results.

When it comes to drawing, one of the biggest obstacles is letting go of self-criticism and just starting and working. We will deal precisely with this difficulty. We will learn through extraordinary exercises how to simply train the hands and at the same time suspend the critical mind.

Later, we will focus on observing the drawings and try to understand the mystery of what works and what doesn't.

My name is Oded, I am originally from Israel. After 6 years of studying, I completed my studies at the UdK in 2019. In recent years I have participated in several exhibitions and residency programs.
My main artworks are films, watercolor paintings and comics.

Movement can be funny, so can you or not. You chose or not. Being funny can be learned as being expressive.

I have studied Lecoq Technique(Pantomime, Tragedy, Drama, Mask Theater, Clown) and Decroux (Mime Corporel). These are physical theater approaches. I am passionate about moving the body in space and the effect it brings. Finding the humor in the physicality and rhythm delightens my everyday life and I am happy to share the fun.

I’m a DJ and music production instructor with 15 years of experience, founder and instructor at DJ School Berlin. I also run my own label and organize events.
My classes take place in a relaxed, intimate atmosphere, and are fully focused on your needs and goals. I teach both fundamental concepts and creative techniques, while supporting you in the development of your artistic project

I also compose music for media (trailers, films, ads, games, etc) and perform live focusing on sound exploration and experimental performance.

Classes take place either in my studio in Kreuzberg, equipped with 2 CDJs, 2 vinyl decks, a professional mixer, and a full sound system, or online with a new technic I developed for a immersive learning experience. Sessions are followed by review sheets and homework assignments.
They are a mix of theory and practice, covering not just technical skills but also the artistic and performance aspects of DJing, with plenty of pro tips and creative insights to help you build your identity as a DJ.

Illustration, traditional drawing and digital art course. This course focuses on the search for a personal language or the student's style, in which different techniques and styles, both traditional and digital, will be worked on to help the student find a language with which they feel comfortable and make it their own.
All this through traditional techniques as well as digital ones, such as Photoshop, Zbrush, Cinema 4D, Illustrator, etc.
Specifically, we have extensive experience in using Photoshop.

In addition, advice can be provided on specific projects to be developed, graphic narration, conception of ideas and concepts about a project, development of characters, unification of style of a long project.

The idea of this course is the search and focus of the student's personal language through references and the exploration of different techniques until reaching their own unique language.

Drawing is a natural skill for everyone; but if you are looking for a more artistic approach for this practice, you can count on me! During my classes you will learn techniques to upgrade your level of drawing to have a more naturalistic way of representation. I will teach you how to observe shapes and tones, to loose your hand, to improve the quality of your strokes, and I will focus in anatomical drawing by teaching you the easiest way to get the right proportions and being able to draw a person with or without a model. But you can also bring your own interests! We will use pencil, pen, and charcoal.
I currently study a Master in New Media Design in Berlin, and I studied my bachelor in the most important school of arts in Mexico. I’ve been drawing professionally for 16 years, and have experience in art teaching for children and adults in several workshops, as well as working independently for painting and mural painting commissions.

Come and discover wool as a material for creative expression !

In this course you will learn how to use wool to create your own felt fabric. Using the wet and needle felting processes you will be able to create a variety of 2D to 3D artworks and crafts. Conversation + is a new conversation based format that combines grammar, syntax, understanding vocabulary and expressions as well as the practice of correct pronunciation and intonation with the reading of a text of your choosing. On the basis of a selected text the conversation evolves around the topics at hand; parallel to this, we discuss anything language-related that comes up. Any question, any problem can be addressed. In this way, linguistic issues can be explored in greater depth, based on your specific field(s) of interest. This fosters a stronger engagement, promotes enthusiasm, and openness that oftentimes fall short in a classic language course situation.

Watercolor is a fascinating technique, but it can be demanding and often feels unpredictable. In these in-studio classes, we will approach watercolor as a relationship between water, pigment, and paper. You will learn to predict and control the medium—and, once you've mastered that, to use it more spontaneously.

I teach a solid, step-by-step method to build a watercolor painting from the ground up. We will explore a range of techniques (working on dry paper, on wet paper, glazing (velatura), creating textures, etc.) as well as brushstroke fundamentals. Along the way, I'll share practical suggestions and tips I've gathered from my own teachers and years of practice.

The class focuses on the technical aspects of watercolor: controlling the medium and consciously achieving the desired figuration. It is through this deep, hands-on knowledge that a more expressive dimension of the practice can naturally emerge.

We will cover key topics such as values, temperature (warm-cold contrast), and color theory.

This class is open to both beginners and advanced painters who wish to refine their technique. A basic foundation in drawing is highly recommended for the initial sketch. Each lesson includes all necessary supply materials.
