I am a Scottish student studying a Master's at Uppsala University and have worked as a tutor in Scotland for the past 2 years. I am on a mission to make education fun and anything but boring so that people can really engage with and learn more about the subjects I teach!

8 National 5s, 7 Highers and 2 Advanced Highers from the SQA, BA (Hons) History at University of Glasgow (Class of 2020), MA Modern History at Uppsala University (Class of 2022).

Expérience / Qualifications

Worked for Glasgow Tutors from October 2019 to March 2020. One-on-one tutor for English, History, Modern Studies and RMPS, at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher levels. Before this, I was self-employed tutoring students in at all levels but solely in History classes.

My name is Flora and I am currently an exchange student at the University of Uppsala for my last year of bachelor. My studies deal with both history and political sciences.

I come from Paris where I have four years of tutoring experience! My parents, both teachers, have shared with me their passion for knowledge transfer. Learning a new language only requires patience and optimism! Indeed, I adapt my lessons to students' difficulties and capabilities to help them improve in my mother tongue.

My method is based on students' abilities and interests to manipulate all aspects of the language. The level shall not be a matter of self-censorship. In this way, I always take into account all demands if the person wants to focus on some points, in view of an exam for instance.
