Learning a language can be overwhelming and difficult at times. Not only is it important to know essential vocabulary, at the least basic grammatical devices, but pronunciation and diction are what truly makes a person fluent in a language. I know the difficulties of teaching English to non-native speakers. English may have interesting pronunciations, confusing grammar at times, and often confusing spelling. As an experienced tutor and teacher, I pride myself on my ability to help others further understand the English language. But more importantly, I pride myself on my ability to get others excited and enthusiastic to learn a new language.

I am a native English speaker with conversational Spanish and have taught English in the past. I have a degree in Medical Science and so can tutor in science up to degree level. Hello! 안녕세요! My name is Aki and I will soon graduate with a bachelor's degree in "Korean Studies" at Leiden University, part of which I spent at Sogang University in South Korea. During my studies, I mainly focus on pronunciation and conversation. However, during my stay in Korea, I noticed a big difference between "textbook Korean" and the Korean that people speak in everyday life. In my lessons, I try to keep this difference as small as possible and make it sound as natural as possible by focusing on conversations and modern vocabulary.
