My name is Ruth and I live in Cholet! I am a native English speaker with an undergraduate degree and a master's degree in international relations. I am very articulate in English, with a strong point for grammar. I also hold a TEFL/TESOL.
I come from a small town in the United Kingdom. Growing up, I enjoyed playing clarinet in an orchestra. Now, I like cooking and reading books while learning French! I live with my partner who is French.

I have just finished a scientific final and offers to give private lessons in maths, English and French to students in difficulty (all levels to the first).
My goal is to advance the student to improve his command of the language (grammar, spelling ...) in French and / or English, or his level in mathematics.

I give classes to children in primary school or college, I help them with their homework and take the time to re-explain the lessons if necessary. Last year I followed three children: 6th and 3rd. And this year I am the same, in their upper class, and another child in 5th.

My students generally already have a solid foundation in French (coming from schools offering language immersion), but I am used to helping students for whom French is a second or foreign language.

I hold a degree in modern literature and a Master's degree in Language Sciences focused on teaching French in monolingual and multilingual contexts.

I speak English fluently. My training as an English teacher combines theory and practice: it was first done intensively during my high school studies, then through frequent stays abroad. I lived and taught French for 4 years in Los Angeles and New Jersey.

The operation of the support course is determined before the start of the lessons, in agreement with the parents, according to the needs of the student and the desired objectives. This can consist of in-depth help with homework, monitoring of already structured courses (e.g.: exam preparation, CNED program) or tailor-made courses, according to your objectives. The duration of the sessions can be one to two hours depending on the concentration and the dispositions of the student (the duration of the session is fixed at the beginning of the partnership between the parents of the student and myself) to ensure effective work and monitoring. I am able to work on the basics of the language (grammar, spelling, conjugation, phonetics, reading, etc.) as well as preparation for French exams (essay, writing, commentary, French oral, etc.) or international exams (DELF / DALF, TOEFL, IELTS, level certificates, etc.).

I am native English and French speaking, I can help with homework in English or French, I have taught French immersion in the USA for 16 years, and I have a pedagogical diploma and a master's degree from TEFL to teach English to a beginner, intermediate and advanced level!

I have earned my Bachelor's degree in Languages and Foreign Cultures at the University of Urbino, Italy; and have also earned a master's degree in Cntemporary Literature at the University fo Poitiers, France. I have a five-year experience in giving language private lessons to whoever wishes to learn or improve their linguistic skills in English, Italian, and even in French.

In this course we will learn to introduce ourselves (name, age, nationality) as well as to introduce our family (parents, brothers and sisters, pets...).
We will also learn to express what we like or dislike. Talking about their favorite color, their emotions, food...
finally we will talk about the environment around us: the weather, the days of the week, the numbers, the clothes.
