My guitar lessons are a real experience for those who study with me. What matters most to me is that my student can fulfill his desires with the guitar and music. I do not impose predetermined classes, but I leave the person free to express what he wants to learn. I am helpful in transmitting to you the skills that are right for you. When you enter my studio room it is like stopping time and being able to focus on yourself, on your sensations and on what really makes you happy with the guitar. About Pierpa: Pierpaolo is a guitarist and composer born in 1995 from central Italy (Le Marche, Recanati). At the age of 12 he picked up a classical guitar for the first time (which he still owns) and since then he has not stopped playing, practicing and inventing with it. He currently lives in Barcelona (Spain) where he mainly teaches rock, jazz and flamenco. In fact, his studies range from jazz (he has 2 degrees in jazz guitar) to flamenco. In Barcelona Pierpaolo attends the ESMUC conservatory. "I am Pierpaolo, a professional guitarist with a Bachelor and Master's degree in Jazz Guitar (110 cum laude) and with experience studying other styles such as blues, rock, pop, funk, latin, fusion, flamenco. In this course, I will teach you the first steps to start playing classical piano. We will begin to do some hand placement exercises, scales, arpeggios and different exercises and then begin to play simple works, which will become more complicated over time. The duration of the classes in principle is 1 hour. If you would like less or more time, we can manage it. In principle the classes are taught in my studio, but everything could be discussed. Depending on the area I could move.

I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. Would you classify improvisation as composition or performance? Well actually it is both! When you improvise you are composing music on the spot, performing what you have made up at the same time as you have composed it. For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease. The key to success is understanding chords. Once you know how chords are formed and know what notes make up a few chords you will be well on your way towards being able to improvise. We will, therefore, start by ensuring a firm knowledge of certain chords. After this we will progress to improvising a simple melody over the top of these chords. The next stage is to start using notes that are not in the chord. The process is then open ended with emphasis on developing the melody. If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice. On the other hand if you play in a band or a group you will be well equipped to do a real 'jam' session. Whether you play a single line instrument (flute, saxophone, trumpet, violin etc.) or keyboard instruments, this class is for you.
