I’m a drawing teacher and artist living in Paris. Since 6 years, I provide drawing class to many publics, from school to urban sketching sessions. Since two years, I also give online drawing class for all public. I have an IPad, so I can share my screen to guide my student by drawing directly on it and show them some drawing technics as if we were on the same spot. Learning drawing is half about learning basics technics, like perspective, contrasts and human form, and half about trusting your own vision, by observation work or imagination exercices. I am an aspiring comic book designer who has spent my entire life practice and learning. As I've grown, there are three core artistic languages that have shaped how I create: - Shape Language (body shape, clothing shape, shape contrast) - Color Language (relearning color, color combination, textures in colors) - Expression (clothing choices, facial movements, positioning) I have created a 5-week workshop for each of these core artistic values. All parts of two dimensional art are based in the core components of shape, line, form, color, texture, value, and rhythm. This class will serve as a crash course in how to identify the parts of a whole subject and translate it into whichever medium you wish to try. Class time will be spent constructing subjects using shape, exploring forms of still life's, implementing and explaining the use of references, understanding basic lighting and shadow, applying line weight, understanding basic color theory, and sharing techniques used to successfully portray an artistic subject. The lessons are suited for absolute beginners, people wanting to try a new hobby or grow a passion. More experienced artists will also be able to participate by having a positive environment for constructive critiques, to enhance their skills and techniques, or to simply seek advice and communication with a fellow artist.
