I'm a passionate Portuguese classical guitarist currently pursuing my Bachelor's Degree at the Conservatorium Maastricht in the Netherlands, studying under the esteemed guidance of Carlo Marchione. With two years of teaching experience, I've had the pleasure of instructing students ranging from 6 to 50 years old, both in-person and online. Alongside guitar instruction, I've also provided music theory tutoring.

Education

I am currently finishing my 4 year Bachelor Degree in the Netherlands at the Conservatorium Maastricht, under the guidance of the guitarist Carlo Marchione.

I began my artistic journey when I was 7 years old, in Lisbon, at the Academia Musical dos Amigos das Crianças, where I studied classical guitar with Manolo Matas, Rui Paiva, and Duarte Lamas. At the age of 15, I decided to dedicate myself exclusively to music and enrolled in Highschool at the Conservatório Nacional in Lisbon, where I studied guitar with Paulo Amorim.

Experience / Qualifications

I have been awarded with several prizes in various international guitar competitions in Portugal and abroad.

I have also participated in numerous masterclasses with internationally acclaimed guitarists such as Judicaël Perroy, Zoran Dukić, Fabio Zanon, Gabriel Bianco, Marko Topchii, Pedro Mateo González, Dejan Ivanović, Laura Verdugo Del Rey, Erik Stenstavold, among others.

Throughout my musical journey, I have performed in various venues in Lisbon such as the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, the Panteão Nacional, the Teatro Tivoli, the CCB. I have also stepped stages in several other cities in Portugal and Europe, including Porto, Aveiro, Madrid, Groningen, Weimar, Trento, and Maastricht.

I offer guitar, bass (electric or upright) and music theory lessons, thought for people who want to start in music or improve their skills. In the lessons we will approach music from a practical side, always focusing on the student's interests and needs. We will go over different styles and kinds of music, work on repertoire, technique and theory, all applied in a practical way to the instrument. A space to develop your musical skills with fun and joy!

This class fits students of different age groups and playing levels. From absolute beginners about to make their first (musical) steps to more advanced players with more precise goals.

The approach is individual and we will discuss the desired goals in advance and build the learning process around those. Some topics that are usually covered are - rhythm guitar, being able to accompany yourself while singing (in different styles and techniques), lead guitar, improvisation (from basics to advanced), general knowledge of the fretboard and technique.

My primary objective is to make learning music an enjoyable and productive experience to all ages & levels.

Are you self taught and want to take the next step into a more structured study approach? TAB/Chord readers making the leap to learn notation and theory? I have been studying classical guitar since I was six. I studied at the Trieste high school of music and at the same time at the conservatory in the Slovenian language. I attended various specialization courses in advanced technique, guitar orchestra, and masterclasses with many internationally renowned guitarists (M. Tamayo, N. Paradiso, M. Feri, J. Jurinčič, L. Pizzutel, F. Molmenti, etc.). I have participated in multiple competitions as a soloist and as a member of a guitar quartet. I finished my first bachelor's in Music in Apolonion Conservatory in Athens, Greece.
I have 6 years of teaching experience, with students from all ages . My teaching methodology is focused on adapting to the student's needs and motivations, while passing on my knowledge to help the student to develop musical independence and create a personal connection with music.
During the lessons, there are several aspects of guitar playing that I can help with, according to the student's aims and musical level:
- learning how to read scores
- basics of music theory
- learn about the importance of correct posture and relaxation of the body
- develop technical capabilitites
- learning how to play by heart
- finding your musical taste

After graduating from the Syrian Conservatory, I studied classical guitar at the Amatti Institute for Music in Granada, Spain. I obtained my Master's from the Glire Institute of Music in Kyiv, Ukraine. I have a Master's in Art, Literature, and Society from Maastricht University.
