About Me

I gathered experience in tutoring whilst completing my Bachelor's degree in Edinburgh and during my Masters degree here in London. My students ranged from beginners looking to learn the basics in order to continue studying Italian in university; intermediate professionals looking to become proficient in business Italian, to advanced people wanting to improve their pronunciation prior to go on holiday to Italy.

I worked in equity sales for a few years following the completion of my Master's degree and I am currently taking a career break.

Growing up in Botswana, speaking this beautiful and intricate language, or at least making an effort to do so, can transform the way you live in Botswana.
I have taught semester-long regular beginners Setswana lessons to children aged 7-12 and adults, with strong emphasis on understanding grammar by breaking it down into “formulas” for how to form tenses and sentences. I teach these and vocabulary through a mix of traditional explanatory lectures, practice exercises and creative games, accompanied by study techniques I have found very useful for learning foreign languages. I have also worked as a trained English tutor, and study linguistics at university, both of which have shaped me to better understand and teach language.
