Wir konzentrieren uns auf echtes Sprechen, bessere Aussprache und einfache Grammatik-Erklärungen, damit es endlich Sinn ergibt, sowie Wortschatz, den du sofort verwenden kannst. Auf Wunsch arbeiten wir auch an Schreiben (E-Mails, Lebenslauf, Vorstellungsgespräch) oder an Schulthemen wie Hausaufgaben, Aufsätzen und Prüfungen. Jede Lektion startet mit einem kurzen Level-Check und deinen Zielen, dann üben wir gezielt, ich korrigiere dich direkt, und du gehst mit einem klaren nächsten Schritt nach Hause. Hausaufgaben sind optional und immer kurz und sinnvoll.

We’ll focus on real speaking practice, clearer pronunciation, and simple explanations of grammar so it finally makes sense, plus vocabulary you can use immediately. If you want, we can also work on writing (emails, CVs, interviews) or school support like homework, essays, and exam prep. Each lesson starts with a quick level check and your goals, then we practice, I correct you in the moment, and you leave with a clear next step. Homework is optional and always short and useful.

I hold a Bachelor and Masters degree in Social Policy from La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia. I am a native English speaker, being of British origin, and I hold additional qualifications in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.

Ich habe einen Master-Abschluss in Germanistik und ein Cambridge-Zertifikat Englisch. Neben meiner langjährigen Tätigkeit als Übersetzer, habe ich auch Erfahrung in der Nachhilfe für ausländische Studenten, Flüchtlinge, sogar von meiner tschechische Freundin. Nicht nur in Englisch und Deutsch, sondern auch speziell im Verstehen von Schweizer Dialekten. Ich denke, dass das Lernen einer Sprache am einfachsten ist, wenn man die einzigartigen Hintergründe der Menschen und ihrer Sprache respektiert und sich eher auf die Gemeinsamkeiten als auf die Unterschiede konzentriert. Die Kenntnis der Linguistik ist dabei sicherlich hilfreich.
