Hola! I'm Ailen from Argentina. I've worked as a teacher all my life. I moved to Basel for academic reasons. I can also communicate in English and Italian. I have traveled through Latin America, Europe and the Middle East. I am interested in the art and cultures of the world. I am a professional musician focused on early music, especially Medieval and Renaissance. I have worked as a music history teacher in conservatories and several language schools. I direct two professional early music ensembles with presentations all over Europe.

Degree as teacher of ARTS IN MUSIC and GUITAR teacher, careers that include general pedagogical and specific field subjects.

Expérience / Qualifications

I have EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE in teaching, since 2009 I work with groups of children and adults of all ages, in the public and private sectors. I have taught music classes (theoretical and practical) and music history. I've work as spanish teacher in Buenos Aires, Istambul, Basel and Saint Louis, with people of different nationalities. It's a task that I find very interesting and in which I wish to deepen. My lessons are fun and dynamic, and I take the teaching-learning process very seriously.

Do you have a guitar sitting in the corner of your house that you always wanted to learn how to play, or do want to take your music-making to the next level? My name is Tiago, I'm a professional musician and I'm offering Guitar and Lute lessons in Basel.

I own a Master in Music Pedagogy and a Master in Performance, both attained at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. I have 12 years of experience teaching the Guitar and the Lute to students both young and adult, and I also regularly perform concerts in Switzerland and all around Europe.

I like to teach and play most styles of music, from classical music to Pop and Rock. It doesn't matter how much experience you have with your instrument, or music in general; I'm comfortable teaching both beginner and advanced students, and I do my best to suit the content of my classes to the student's musical interests, level, and availability. My name is Alejandro Oliván and I am a professional saxophonist with a master's degree in pedagogy from the Basel School of Music.
I am a full professor at the Gibstorf Music School, but have been giving private lessons in Basel for years. The lessons are aimed at children, adults and pensioners. It's never too late to study! For those who prefer to play with someone else and meet people, I also organize group classes with interested students.

My primary focus is on creating a personal connection and approach to the chosen instruments and to music in general. This includes (depending on your wishes, of course) your own musical expression, improvisation, songwriting (with lyrics if desired), song accompaniment and improvisation, as well as music theory and instrument-specific references.
