Trusted teacher: Are you looking for a piano teacher who can help you further? Then you have come to the right place. My name is Ischico and I am a piano teacher and concert pianist. With my ten years of teaching experience and active concert practice, I would like to help you further with your piano skills. This can be done as regular lessons, but also as audition training or concert preparation. I can also help you with improvisation and music theory. Topics that are regularly discussed in the lesson are technique, musicality, interpretation, ear training, improvisation and building a healthy study routine. We will work on how you can best express your musical conception on the piano and which tools you can use to do so. I teach piano in my piano studio in Amsterdam Noord at the NDSM-Werf on a beautiful Yamaha grand piano. Every student is different, so the lessons are tailor-made for you. Together we will look at how you can get the most enjoyment out of playing the piano and work towards your goals together! I also welcome students who are working towards an audition for a young talent class or preparatory course. Through opportunities for playing and motivating piano exams, we work towards your goals. I did two master's degrees at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and at Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona. Besides teaching, I regularly give concerts and organize other musical projects.

I'm looking forward to sharing some knowledge and to hear what you already know. What can i offer? Styles that we can work on: Classical, Folk, Jazz, Pop music. Languages that we can speak in the lesson: Dutch, English, Catalan or/and Spanish Skills that we can work on: basic techniques, jazz and folk techniques, play the cello while singing, percussion on the cello. How do I work? Each class will be individually prepared, in order to have the student goals in mind. In our first lesson we can get to know each other and then we will figure out what do you want and how can I help you. For BEGINNERS I teach the bow, finger positions and other basics with easy songs (with kids I add games to make it more entreating). Such as relating painting with playing, dancing with playing or literature with playing. For AVERAGE LEVEL we explore, with already some technique, how to play songs, finding a good sound and feel at ease with the instrument. Extra activities: Once a month I plan a rehearsal with pianist to work on some repertoire of cello and piano. Meetings with other students are also arranged to play duos together. As a cello amateur , i am striving to constantly learn to play better! when i arrived in Rotterdam a few months ago, i needed guidance to continue practicing . Flavia is the perfect person for this. She is an accomplished musician and artist. She can speak about composition, context of a piece, expression etc.., and at the same time, go also into elaborated technical cello advice. First lesson with Beltrán was very useful. For me was motivating that he was able to concentrate on the things I had wished help with even if I have many other things to correct. He behaved friendly and down to earth and I was very impressed he even had learned a few words of Finnish during his studies in Sibelius Academy. I had fun plus just the right amount of homeworks until next lesson!
