Singing and guitar lessons French and Argentine music Zaz, Atahualpa, Piaf, Mercedes Sosa, Brassens, Gardel... Online and in person (Almagro Buenos Aires) A French resident in Argentina for 12 years, I specialize as a musician and teacher in the French and Argentine repertoire. I regularly play and perform with Alliance Françaises across Latin America, where I offer a show featuring the great classics of French chanson and bilingual pieces. (I performed between 2021 and 2024 in Salvador de Bahia in Brazil, Sucre in Bolivia, and Mendoza, Córdoba, and Buenos Aires in Argentina.) As a guitarist, I've worked for over 15 years with Argentine (tango and folk) and Latin American music. Whether as a soloist, in a group, or accompanying other singers, I specialize in the rhythms of tango, chacareras, chamamé, cueca, zamba, waltzes, milongas, and more. As a professional musician and experienced teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience, I offer personalized online private lessons. My teaching career includes prestigious institutions such as the Norville-les-Arpajon Conservatory, the Parisian association Les Ateliers Francoeur, the Conviven and Caccupé associations, as well as the Lycée Franco-Argentin Jean Mermoz in Buenos Aires, where I taught for six years as a guitar and music teacher. My methodology is based on a playful approach, with engaging repertoires, rhythm games, memorization, and reading. I emphasize sound development, interpretation, and music theory to develop each student's personal expression and creativity. A graduate of the Conservatoire de Paris (CRR) in classical guitar and of EMPA, Avellaneda School of Popular Music (in Argentine Tango and Folklore music), I enriched my experience with the recording of four albums and international tours in the United States, Chile, Belgium, France and Argentina. I have also participated in numerous prestigious festivals such as the 2023 Chicago Latin American Festival, the 2023 Sucre White City Festival in Bolivia, I was a finalist at the 2022 Precosquín as an instrumental soloist in Argentina, Guitarras del Mundo in Argentina on three occasions - and 2023, the Tango Postal Festival in Toulouse in 2016, Charangoscopio in 2015, among others.

Learn from a pro who's played Wembley Stadium, toured Europe, and worked with West End stars! I'm Chris - a London-based multi-instrumentalist with years of real-world experience as a performer, musical director, and bandleader. Since 2015, I’ve taught over 100 students - from 6-year-old beginners to seasoned musicians - helping them grow their skills, boost their confidence, and connect more deeply with the music they love. I’ve played bass for 80s legends Talk Talk, bass and keyboards for renowned tribute band Guns 2 Roses on national and European tours, been a musical supervisor and musical director for national theatre productions, and shared stages with cast members from Les Misérables, Book of Mormon, Dear Evan Hansen, Mamma Mia, and more. I've performed everywhere from intimate acoustic venues to the Royal Festival Hall and even Wembley Stadium. My teaching style is practical, flexible, and student-led. I teach both online and in person from my West London studio, working with people of all ages and abilities. Whether you’re looking to jam with friends, write your own music, get ready for a recording session, or just play for your own enjoyment, I’ll help you build the skills you need, and enjoy the process as much as the result. I currently offer lessons in: 🎹 Piano and keyboards 🎸 Acoustic and electric guitar 🎸 Bass guitar 📖 Music theory (from the basics to advanced harmony and analysis) 🎓 Support for GCSE and A-Level music students I believe lessons should feel creative, inspiring, and genuinely useful - not just a box to tick. I bring patience, adaptability, and a deep understanding of both music and musicians to every session, helping students unlock their potential on their own terms.

Since 2014, I am teaching students who are living in different parts of the world via Zoom/Skype/Meet – in English, French, Farsi and Turkish languages, and it is working very well. Do you: – have limited access to good teachers where you live? – have a busy schedule or travel frequency? – want to ensure a strong foundation with a highly qualified, experienced and resourceful teacher? – want a more professional help and advice than you can currently receive from private local teachers? All you need to have is an internet connection, a guitar, webcam, headphone/ speaker and a microphone. The exercises and pieces that you need to work on will be sent to you via email or other ways that you might prefer. On the other hand, you can send me a recording of you playing the pieces and exercises before the beginning of our Zoom/Skype/Meet session or play live on Zoom/Skype/Meet. Then we will be able to discuss the ways that you can improve technically and musically, and find the best ways that work for you. I teach Classical, Flamenco and Acoustic Guitars, and I am open to all kind of musical styles. I have a Licentiate Diploma in Teaching Classical Guitar from the University of West London (UWL’s highest teaching qualification). I am a passionate teacher, and enjoy working with a wide age range (currently from 5 to 60) and a variety of levels (from beginner to advanced). I don’t believe in “one size fits all” methods, so my lessons are tailor-made to help students with different backgrounds, goals, and interests improve faster. Importantly, I use graded curriculum with students. This method helps the students to learn the instrument in a systematic way. This way, they can benefit from a faster learning pace and enjoy the sense of progress, and ultimately, become better musicians. Moreover, if you are preparing for international examination board assessments such as London College of Music (LCM) , Trinity College (TCL), ABRSM, etc, an audition, or a recital, I would be able to help you succeed. Other than Guitar lessons, I teach Music Theory, Music Analysis, and Music Composition. Importantly, I use graded curriculum with students. This method helps the students to learn the instrument in a systematic way. This way, they can benefit from a faster learning pace and enjoy the sense of progress, and ultimately, become better musicians. Please feel free to contact me for more details.

Have you ever listened to your favorite songs and thought it would be cool to play them yourself? Whether you're a complete beginner or a more advanced player, I can give you the tools to be more confident when someone passes you a guitar at the campfire or when you're rocking out on stage! With nearly 20 years of piano experience and a degree in Guitar Performance, as well as a degree in Music Technology, I have learned thousands of songs and been on stage hundreds of times. As originally a self-taught guitarist, I spent thousands of hours developing my own systems of navigating the fretboard and playing chords. It wasn't until much later when I realized that these are very similar to the ideas that professional Nashville guitarists and some Berklee professors use themselves! For beginners: I can show you the building blocks of the guitar that will have you playing songs in no time. I will also teach you the most common chord progressions that will help you switch between chords without having to think. For those struggling with barre chords: I will show you how to simplify them and how to get your fingers in shape to eventually play the full chords. For intermediate guitarists: we will start moving up the guitar neck and playing chords in different keys and positions. With the CAGED system, you can play any open chord on any part of the guitar. Ever wondered how Jimi Hendrix came up with such cool chords and licks? I can show you how to combine chords with scales to spice up your rhythm guitar playing. I'll also show you scales you can use to start improvising and playing your own melodies! For the more advanced players who feel stuck: I have extensive music theory knowledge and Jazz/Classical guitar experience and can help you break out of the box and establish a deeper connection with the fretboard. We will learn how to navigate the guitar neck so that you never feel lost again while you're playing!
