Hello to you ! I offer personalized diatonic accordion lessons (G / C) for beginners, learning is done by ear and I give the tabs / scores at the end of the course to have written support for learning at home. I approach a folk / trad repertoire, no notion of music theory is necessary to begin, however as the concepts are learned will be distilled little by little to have a better understanding of the music as well as the instrument. My journey : Originally a folk dancer, the music followed suit. I started playing the accordion 5 years ago, I mainly learned self-taught and with occasional internships to deepen my knowledge of the instrument. I have been playing on open stages regularly for 2 years and been part of a music group ("Sur un coup de tête") for a year.

My teaching style is practical, personalized and encouraging. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, musical interests and learning pace. For beginners, I focus on the essential technique and fundamentals while introducing simple complete songs as early as possible. For intermediate players, I can work on repertoire, accompaniment, rhythm, musical interpretation, technique and theory. I teach a wide variety of music, including Italian folk and dance music, tango, Latin music, contemporary songs, soundtracks, French musette and European and American folk repertoire. I believe that lessons should be enjoyable as well as productive. Rather than following exactly the same path with every student, I build the program around the person in front of me. This approach is particularly useful for adult students who want to learn the accordion for their own enjoyment, return to music after many years, or develop a personal repertoire.

Maybe you’ve loved the sound of the accordion for years but never believed you could play it yourself. Maybe you already own one, but online videos have left you with more questions than answers. Or maybe you’re looking for a patient teacher who will help your child enjoy music and feel proud of their progress. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to figure it out alone. You bring curiosity. I’ll bring guidance, encouragement, and a clear plan. Hi, I’m Nikola Spasic, founder of Accordion Joy Academy, an ArtEZ Conservatory graduate, and a two-time winner of the Dutch National Accordion Competition. I teach live, private online lessons that start with you, your experience, your musical taste, your pace, and the time you have available. You don’t need to read music before starting. You don’t need to feel naturally talented. And you don’t need to have begun as a child. We’ll build the skills together, one manageable step at a time. Here’s how I’ll help you move forward. Personal attention in every lesson. Ask questions, get feedback, and understand how to improve. A clear practice plan. Know what to work on between lessons, with manageable goals that fit your routine. Music you actually want to play. Classical, tango, folk, musette, movie themes, and more—adapted to your level. Support you can revisit. Lesson recordings, demonstrations, and sheet music help you practise with confidence. Patient guidance through the tricky parts. We’ll work on the bellows, bass buttons, and coordination without rushing. Encouragement along the way. See your progress, celebrate small successes, and connect with fellow learners in my private accordion community. For children, lessons make room for curiosity, repetition, and small achievements that build confidence. For adults, they offer a structured way to finally make music part of your life.
