Hello, my name is Teacher Jaz, and I am currently residing in the Philippines. I earned my Bachelor of Secondary Education with a major in English in 2014 and hold a Master’s Degree in Education, majoring in English Language Teaching, in 2018. I have participated in numerous seminars and workshops, including those focused on teaching reading and language proficiency. With over six years of experience in the education field, I am a Licensed Professional Teacher specializing in English, and I am passionate about teaching and curriculum design. I am dedicated to creating interactive and engaging lesson plans that support student learning and foster a love for the English language. In my teaching approach, I focus on student-centered learning, which means I prioritize activities that encourage active participation and critical thinking. For example, when teaching subject-verb agreement, I guide my students through the process step-by-step. I start by having them identify the subject in a sentence, then the verb, ensuring that they understand how to check whether these two components are in agreement. I break down each step clearly to ensure that they grasp the concept, and I encourage them to practice by giving real-life examples. I hope to see you in my class!
