Basketball remains a sport, a hobby so above all, the goal is to learn while having fun. The student will be able to learn the fundamentals of basketball as well as more advanced basics. But I am available to each student depending on what he wants to work on. I played in a small league in Los Angeles and France so I can also teach Western, American basketball.

Life is a source of sharing, so passing on a sport that I have practiced for 20 years to the younger generations is something important to me. The sessions will be above all fun to convey the desire to continue playing basketball. Of course there may be a little moment of competition that is the basis of the sport.

I love to teach my passion through fun activities and challenges. My teaching method is always about making my students happy and proud of what they learned and accomplished.

Formación

I graduated in journalism in France. After that, I went to Los Angeles to UCLA to graduate in Marketing and Journalism. Regarding basketball, I played in a small league in France and in Los Angeles where I've teached fundamentals and skills to kids.

I've been playing basketball for 20 years now. I trained small groups of 6 to 18-year-olds in Los Angeles (also in tennis). As well as some private lessons. So I'm used to training small groups as well as individually.

My name is Jokin and I came to Tokyo with the Working Holiday Visa the very 1st of May

I have a SFL (Spanish as foreign language) certificate and experience teaching the language to foreign people in my hometown, San Sebastian.

I support conversational teaching. Students must take part on class in order to improve and remove the fear of failure. I think is the best way of learning a language, talking from experience: I was taught English at school during all my lifetime, however it was not until I lived in Canada and was forced to speak the language that I mastered it.

However, students are free to choose the preferable learning method, being possible focusing more on the grammar.

We can have classes at coffee shops, libraries or wherever your preference is.

Without going any further, I look forward starting to give lessons.

Using Latin American Spanish (from Mexico) and English, I will teach you how to speak Spanish more naturally. As a native Spanish speaker who has been studying Japanese, I have noted various similarities between the languages. Noticing these can help you learn Spanish faster and acquire a more native accent.

All proficiency levels and age groups are welcome!

You can specify what you need or want help with. For example, if you would like to focus on tips for memorizing conjugations, tips on differentiating between similar words/grammar, or if you just want practice speaking about various topics in Spanish.

NOTE: The instruction and discussion will mainly be conducted in English and Spanish. My Japanese fluency is at the conversational level, but I can understand and speak Japanese. The goal is to get you more comfortable speaking Spanish though, so please try your best! However, having studied various languages myself, I understand it can be stressful or intimidating to practice using a new language. We will work together!

I am a university graduate with a passion for languages, currently fluent in French, English, and Spanish. My specialty is English for Business, I can help you improve your language in the workplace and help you study for exams such as the Eiken and TOEIC. Writing essays, emails, and research papers are also part of my portfolio. As a student myself, I can guide you through my methods of teaching and hopefully share my passion for languages. I also accept students who only want to improve their conversation in English or seek assistance in homework. I am happy to adapt to the student's level and needs. I have recently started learning Japanese so I can only accept students with a foundation in English. I hope to be the right teacher for your learning goals!
