About Me

Hello, my name is Florent and I am a professional singer, pianist and songwriter.

I graduated from the Conservatory of the 14th arrondissement of Paris in classical music (piano, solfège and choir).

Composer for over 20 years, I created the musical project Melancholic Thoughts in 2018. I have released 2 albums in collaboration with different musicians and artists and a music video for my latest single, “Harmony”.

Passionate about musical improvisation, I created “The Enlightened Improviser” in 2025, a project entirely dedicated to musical improvisation in all its forms, particularly piano and singing.

I have considerable experience as a singer in recording studios. Indeed, over the years, I have acquired a method for recording effectively in the studio.

I graduated from the Conservatory of the 14th arrondissement in classical music (2nd Cycle).
I learned solfège (note reading, rhythmic reading, harmony...), piano (interpretation of great works of classical music) & choir.

I am a professional lyric soprano graduated from the CNSM of Lyon.

As an opera singer, I have had the opportunity to perform on international stages while continuing to teach, which is a true vocation for me.

In vocal pedagogy, I believe that each student is the bearer of a unique instrument: their voice. Katherine has been vocally trained in contemporary for 25 years and studied classical voice for three years. After developing Muscular Tension Dysphonia in 2010 and not singing for almost two years, she overcame this vocal disorder after working with some of the best voice and voice rehabilitation specialists in the UK.
