I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

I am Dimitrios, I am a greek professional guitarist. I graduated with a masters degree in Jazz guitar from Conservatorium van Amsterdam and also studied in the UK conservatory of Leeds. As a musician my primary focus is jazz music but I also often play other styles like soul, Rnb and more. So far in my teaching career I have had experience with many different ages, from 7 to 40 years old and I think I have managed to pass on to them some of my passion for music. Whether you want to learn to play your favourite tunes, learn to improvise or get some in depth knowledge about music theory and harmony we can work out a suited lesson plan for you. Maarten will give you the piano lessons. He can teach classical, and jazz piano. He graduated his studies in the conservatory of Amsterdam with prof. Jan Wijn and graduated with the highest score among piano students (Bachelor of Music, piano). He played several solo and chamber music concerts in concert hall, church, museum, library, hospital and elderly houses. He is regularly invited by Belgium Chamber music festival to play with famous musicians such as guitarist philip Catherine. Recently he graduated master degree in Brussels Conservatorium studying with prof. Boyan Vodenitcharov. Since he has a lot of knowledge of harmonization and counterpoints, he has composed and arranged many works and played many of his own pieces in concerts. Asako will give the cello lessons. She has master degree, cello performance and chamber music, also has an academic university diploma for Musicology. She studied in Japan, Hungary (Franz Liszt Academy), Norway (Norway Academy of Music), and Netherlands (Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Utrecht Conservatoire).She can teach in Japanese, English and on a basic level in Hungarian and French. Asako can teach the cello for all levels and ages. Especially She is enthusiastic about teaching.

I would like to offer piano lessons for those who want to learn to play the piano at home and offer an online course that way. I have a Masters in Piano and teaching experience. Of course we have different requirements than usual but I am sure that I can help you. I like to listen and we can exchange ideas via discord or zoom. I will send you notes and practice tips for home. You can ask me questions and I'll show you via video what we want to learn. If you are still going to elementary school, it is best to have a parent help you during class and can, for example, provide a good internet connection and study material, if you are not yet able to use a cell phone or laptop yourself. In this class you will be able to learn different musical concepts that will help you expand your musical knowledge and skills in an applied way. It starts with baby steps and, depending on the student, the complexity gradually increases. It will be a pleasure to meet you and teach this discipline that I am so passionate about.

The idea is to have the basic notions to be able to work a string organic. You will study how to write for each string instrument: violin, viola, cello and double bass. Also how to work together, whether for a trio, quartet or thinking about a larger organization like an orchestra.
