I'm a Hong Kong mandarin teacher based in Southern France. I am fluent in 4 languages: Cantonese/Mandarin/English/French. Since 2018 I have been making a lot of videos/vocabulary posts on social media platforms to teach learners from all over the world. My students love my easygoing character and they always feel reassured/relaxed during classes. I also guide them in achieving higher goals in language exams like HSK.

For the past two decades, I've had the privilege of tutoring in both French and English. My students have ranged in age, background, and origin, spanning children, teenagers, adults, professionals, and even seniors aged 85 and above.

You might wonder why I teach both languages. Well, I am bilingual, with American and Swiss/French roots, and I currently reside in Ireland. To the uninitiated, a grammar book seems to be written in another language because the meaning of the words is incomprehensible. In a down-to-earth way, I'll translate the grammar into familiar words. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning while having a positive mindset.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... Spanish is the language used for communication in Spain and Latin America. These days, with artists like Bad Bunny so popular, it's definitely motivating to learn the language so you can follow along with the lyrics, right? Being able to sing along to Spanish songs must be pretty awesome. Not only that, but being able to communicate with native speakers on vacation offers so many advantages, and they certainly appreciate it when you make an effort to speak their language, even if it's just a few words. I studied Spanish for half a year as one of my advanced subjects in the International Business program at the Friedrich-Fischer-School in Schweinfurt, and after the first semester, I left school with a total grade of 13 points (1-) in Spanish, which was calculated from my 12 points (2+) in oral exams, 13 points (1-) in oral exams, and 14 points (1) on my written exams.
