Ciao a tutti! I am Sofia, 25 years old, Italian teacher with a Bachelor degree in Italian Literature at the University of Milan and a Master at the University of Fribourg, (CH), currently living in Groningen. I come from a city near Milan, where since for years I thaught Italian to foregners living in the city as a tool for intercultural communication and intergration. For the past 4 years, I have been teaching Italian professionally, with students of different levels, from absolute beginners to advanced, younger and adults, online (students mostly from Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands) and offline (students from all the world). I have experience as a middle school teacher in Italy and as an Italian for foreigners intern in the Dante Alighieri Institute (Italian cultural institute) of Innsbruck, Austria. I can provide the materials for my courses. If the student wishes, I can enrich my lessons with excursions into Italian literature and culture, that, of course, I love very much. In overall, what I enjoy most about teaching languages is the human exchange, so I try to create friendly and conversational environments, following my students' talents and interests with different kinds of inputs and media(reading, songs, videos, etc). About Me

Education

-Master's student - General and Comparative Literature
- Bachelor's degree in Ancient Literature (Latin, but also Italian): 110/110 with distinction.
- Erasmus in Grenoble (France) for 9 months.

Experience / Qualifications

During my student years, I always gave private lessons in Italian literature and Latin, and I provided academic support to students of different levels.
In Italy, I taught Italian to non-native speakers in two non-institutional schools for foreigners for 4 years.
