You’ll learn the workings of the Guitar’s features, the string names and basic chords (beginners). If you already know a bit about guitar, then I can help you improve on areas you’ve gotten stuck in and fill gaps in your knowledge. If you’re pro and want to learn something new, aka you’re a jazz guitarist but want to learn a new genre, I can provide you the expertise!

Looking for an enthusiastic and patient music tutor? I am a violin, singing, piano and music theory tutor, who is classically trained musician with a Music degree. I can also teach Music GCSE and A-level and composition. I am especially passionate about song-writing, if that is something you or your child is looking for tutoring in.

Lois is available to teach Flute from beginner to Grade 8 and Music Theory and Recorder up to ABRSM Grade 5. Lois delivers fun and energetic flute lessons which touch on basic theory knowledge to develop musicianship skills. She is always developing and adapting her teaching styles to fit the different needs of her pupils and encourages her students to join musical activities and enter ABRSM/Trinity exams.

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard. My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instill a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student. Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you. A bit about me: Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'. Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.
