Trusted teacher: Hello there! My name is Rocco, I’m a guitarist and educator currently based in Cologne, and I’m offering private guitar lessons taught in English -or Italian (aber ich spreche auch ein bisschen Deutsch..!). Here are some infos about myself: I grew up in Italy, and graduated at the ArtEZ Conservatory in Arnhem (NL) in 2019. During the last few years I attended the Berklee School of Music in Boston (2014), won the “Locomotive Jazz Festival Giovani” contest (2015), and played and recorded together with musicians such as Jerome Hol, René Creemers, Andre Groen, Pieter Douma and Alan Purves. I have performed in several music festivals such as North Sea Jazz, Moers Festival, InJazz, MusicMeeting, Lowlands, Make-it Jazz, and more. I am currently busy with several projects in the modern jazz scene in Germany and The Netherlands, while teaching in an international school in The Netherlands and having private students in Cologne. I have been giving private lessons since six years now, both classic guitar (focusing on classical technique, reading and interpreting) and electric (mainly jazz/blues/rock vocabulary and improvisation). - Flexible appointments (also in weekends); - Every lesson pack is also available online, with a reduced fee; - Available for beginners intermediate and advanced level; - Our in-person lessons can take place either around the Cologne Ehrenfeld Station or in Eupenerstrasse. . Whether you are new to the instrument, or a fully experienced musician who maybe wants to confront a new improvisational approach towards complex jazz harmonies Ciao!

Trusted teacher: Having experienced first-hand the power of dance to shape people’s perspectives, I am enthusiastic about using my professional experiences, skills, and beliefs to educate new young dancers in the techniques, movements, and experiences of dance. I am also just as enthusiastic to share that beauty and power with the community, with recreational adult classes as well. About how I teach, and why I started; I was looking for dance that was fun, liberating, and yet artistically challenging, all at the same time; I craved something that brought and demanded a more humane experience inside of the studio. My interest at the moment is to use our human experiences and bodies as they are. I’m not so interested in trying to force them into something else, but to allow that freedom to take us to whatever imaginary or fantastical place where dance should be able to take us. I believe my obligation as a dance teacher is to encourage students to have fun when dancing. It’s something that’s forgotten a lot as a budding artist, but one of the most important things for perseverance in this field. I believe that if the curiosity, imagination, and enjoyment is there, the technique will come as well because there’s a mutual belief, from both the teacher and student, in oneself. Of course to learn a variety of dance styles, be technically proficient, and pursue a personal creative expression is important, but having an experience with a group of people and letting go into imagination while allowing yourself to have fun will push a dancer even further in their artistry, I believe. To be able to be given images, sensations, feelings, etc. and have the awareness to translate them into some form of movement is an important skill as an artist and human being

Trusted teacher: Would you like to brush up on your English or learn small talk? Do you need business English for the job and negotiations? Or do you need an individually tailored exam or high school preparation? Very happy - with a lot of expertise and enthusiasm! :) I am a young, cheerful English and sports teacher with a master's degree (grade 1.1), many years of tutoring experience and work experience at the university. I offer support for all motivated English learners - individually adapted, experienced and digital. My principles: - INDIVIDUAL: Individual support is the most important thing for me - I look at your level of knowledge so that we cannot repeat anything unnecessary and work directly on your weak points! - INSPIRED: Learning can be so much fun - and that's a priority for me. I always make sure that the topics are as exciting as possible for you and that joy is never neglected! - AUTHENTIC: in addition to the language of instruction (English), in my opinion it is also authentically open to communicate: do you suddenly feel tired, overwhelmed, underwhelmed? Open communication leads to a better learning result and flexibility is the be-all and end-all! - STRUCTURED: I prepare myself individually for each hour and always plan courses based on current learning theory findings - at the same time, of course, I also pay attention to your individual inclinations in terms of structure and spontaneity. - HEALTHY: nobody is sitting with me for more than 30 minutes. I ALWAYS plan 2-3 minutes of breaks in between and am always happy to give other health and exercise tips for those interested, as this is my second great passion :)
