Maths Teacher & Academic Coach – Graduate Engineer: Personal Method & From Middle School to Higher EducationTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Maths Teacher & Academic Coach – Graduate Engineer: Personal Method & From Middle School to Higher EducationTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I've been teaching for over three years, in very different contexts. I taught English at a language academy, with groups of eight to fifteen learners, from beginner to intermediate. I founded my university's cybersecurity club, where I gave open courses to over two hundred students with no prior technical background. And today I tutor high school students in math and computer science, as well as a student in a two-year vocational program. What these three experiences taught me can be summed up in one sentence: the subject matter is almost never the real problem. The real problem is confidence. A student convinced they're hopeless at math doesn't work any less than the others; they work expecting to fail. That's the first sentence I'm trying to dismantle, and the rest comes much more easily afterward. I also have an advantage that many teachers have lost: I'm still a student. I take exams, I revise, I sometimes get stuck. I don't need to imagine what a high school student feels three days before a test; I live it. And I believe that you never truly stop being a student, even in this rather unique classroom we call life. On a practical level: I am punctual, I prepare my sessions in advance, and I speak frankly about what I observe, even when it's unpleasant to hear. This is what helps a student progress, and it's what I would expect from a teacher if I were on the other side.

I have been giving private lessons for 11 years now and I do it with more and more joy! My journey : June 2017: obtaining the physio diploma September 2012 to April 2014: physiotherapy June 2012: Bac S international mention Bien I teach maths up to the final level, and up to the pre-physics level for physics and chemistry. I did two years of prep physiotherapy and have reviewed and push the program of terminal, so I know it at your fingertips. I often proceed according to the following method: (re)explanation of the course seen in class or of certain misunderstood points, a series of exercises guided by myself, then a series of exercises in autonomy. I also do small quizzes regularly, graded or not depending on the student's profile, to make sure what has been integrated or not. For students preparing an exam (baccalaureate or patent), I am also typical subjects (usually these are annals that I rearrange as long as the entire program has not been seen) in a limited time to prepare them at best. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions, I would be happy to answer them.

Private online mathematics lessons - Qualified and experienced teacherTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Private online mathematics lessons - Qualified and experienced teacherTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years. The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. I develop a tailor-made remediation program for each of my students aimed at filling each of their gaps. Over the course of the sessions, the student builds a solid foundation for learning and regains self-confidence. At the same time, I help him acquire a work methodology that allows him to gradually become autonomous in his studies. I have a thorough knowledge of the mathematics curriculum for middle and high school (from 6th to 12th grade). I am also qualified to support students in preparing for international exams such as the SAT, the OMPT, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) in all its variations: Analysis and Approaches (AA SL/HL) and Applications and Interpretation (AI SL/HL). Throughout my years of training, I studied and developed numerous techniques that facilitate learning mathematics. The strength of my teaching approach lies in my ability to explain, in simple terms, anything a student finds complicated. I am passionate about this profession because it offers me the opportunity to guide struggling students toward success. It is a true pleasure to see them progress and rediscover their connection with the fascinating world of mathematics. I offer private tutoring in Paris (at the student's home) or remotely (online). My online lessons take place on an interactive whiteboard. This whiteboard is specifically designed to facilitate student/teacher interaction online. Thanks to this teaching tool, my online lessons are just as effective as in-person lessons. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone to participate.

“ Baia was instrumental in helping my daughter prepare for the OMPT-F exam. From the very first lesson, she was organized, knowledgeable, and focused on the areas that mattered most for success on the test. What sets Baia apart is her ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a simple, structured way while building confidence at the same time. Her engineering background gives her a deep understanding of mathematics and allows her to explain not only how to solve problems, but also why the concepts work. She provided targeted practice materials, mock exams, and clear guidance on the key topics that carried the highest impact. Baia was always responsive to questions between lessons and consistently went above and beyond to ensure my daughter was fully prepared. Thanks to her support, my daughter developed a much stronger understanding of mathematics and a more positive attitude toward the subject. She now approaches challenging problems with far more confidence than before. I highly recommend Baia to anyone preparing for the OMPT exams, university mathematics, or looking for a patient, knowledgeable, and highly effective math tutor. ”

“ Benoit is friendly and patient and has a good sense of when to challenge and when to take a step back. My son, who is 8, really likes his lessons very much. He loves math, especially working with big numbers, and at school it isn't always possible to work on calculations as he would like. After few lessons he already learned new techniques for calculations he likes to experiment with and Benoit also managed to challenge him to try some new and more advanced things. I think this type of lessons is more tricky to prepare, at least until the teacher gets to know well the capacities and character of the child, as there are not based on the child's curriculum or homework to be done. Benoit is always open to discussion and if my son finds something too challenging, they take a step back and try another way or just agree to try another time when my son feels ready for it. ”

“ Teacher Raef, is an experienced teacher. My son enjoyed his first online lesson today with Teacher Raef. He’s a very dedicated teacher, dedicated towards his students learning needs and supports. Teacher Raef clears all doubts related to the topic instantly and with great clarity. He guides the student in each and every steps with patience and understanding. The best part of Teacher Raef is that he always encourages the student with his positive attitudes. This develops a sense of confidence in the pupil. Thank you Teacher Raef for your support and guidance to my son!! ”
