In this class I will show you how beautiful the world of the classical guitar is! We will learn how to play the guitar and how the instrument works. We can learn about composers and some basic music theory! Little info about me: My name is Dimitar, I am 21 years old. I am currently doing my Bachelor's in Mozarteum University with Professor Andrea De Vitis! I have been playing guitar for 11 years, graduated the National music school "Liubomir Pipkov" in Sofia, Bulgaria- my home country.

I offer saxophone / clarinet / recorder lessons as well as piano lessons for all age groups, levels and styles (classical, jazz, improvisation, etc.) in Salzburg City, Salzburg Land and Freilassing. I am a trained clarinetist, saxophonist and pianist as well as a music teacher. After studying at the Mozarteum University and Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi, I founded my own chamber music and jazz project. Both projects are participants of various famous music festivals. In her studio, she fosters a supportive environment where young musicians can develop their skills and express their creativity. Through personalized lesson plans and encouragement, Maya helps each student reach their full potential, instilling a love for music that lasts a lifetime. Maya is an accomplished clarinetist hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a deep passion for both chamber and orchestral music. She completed Masters Degree at Bard Conservatory where she studied with NY Philharmonic Clarinetist, Pascual Martinez Forteza and renowned soloist, David Krakauer. She has performed in venues such as Orchestra Hall and the Kennedy Center. As a soloist, Maya performed the Weber Clarinet Concerto no.1 with string orchestra in 2018. She has performed with various esteemed ensembles, including The Orchestra Now (TON), The Bard Conservatory Orchestra, The Phillippsburg Academy Orchestra, The Northern Lights Festival Orchestra, The Saluzzo Opera Academy Orchestra, and The University of Minnesota Orchestra.

This class is all about the fun and love in music. I am very student oriented so whatever your goal is or what specific pieces you want to learn, we will work on that. A relaxing atmosphere is really important to me. A student should never fear to play wrong or feel bad because he/she didn't practice. We learn from mistakes and of course practicing would be really great, but in the end it is your goal to learn to play the piano, I'm just there to help you. I am very patient and understanding and I just want to encourage everyone who is interested in playing the piano to just give it a try, no matter what age!

Voice lessons for ages 13 and older. I teach private voice lessons for singers at all levels. I am a classically trained soprano and teach both classical voice as well as musical theatre repertoire. I am currently on the Voice Faculty of Westminster Choir College, SongFest (one of America's preeminent Art Song Festivals), and run my own course of study here in Salzburg that includes language study, private voice study with myself and soprano, Barbara Bonney, as well as various Master Classes with multiple singers. Guitar is one of the most useful musical instruments and it can be played in many different styles. My lessons are based on classical training but accomodated to the liking of each individual student. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or more advanced student, there is always something fun to play on the guitar, from chords to more complicated pieces from different styles. The lessons will contain topics of basic musical theory training such as rhythm, basic harmony and phrasing, classical guitar techique for the left (the position on the fratboard, chords, slurs...) and right hand (plucking, strumming, apoyando/tirando playing, arpeggios...) and different repertoire to the student's liking.

Welcome! My name is Kym and I am the founder of Salzburg's first music school through the English language, Music through English Salzburg. I am an Irish pianist and piano teacher based in Salzburg, Austria. I hold a first class honours Master's degree in Piano Performance from MTU Cork School of Music, Ireland and two honours Bachelor's degrees in both Music and Education (BMus, BEd). I love both playing and teaching the piano and it has long been my dream to move open my own music school where I can do both! I teach in-person and online piano lessons for both beginner students and more advanced students. I am very passionate about piano performance and pedagogy, and I strive to make the lessons as engaging and student-centered as possible.
