My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborated with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. My main goal is to help the student discover her or his voice while enjoying making music. No experience is needed, just bring your enthusiasm and favorite music. Classes can be given either in English, Spanish, French or Deutsch. There is no limit for styles, bring your favorite music and I will provide a safe environment for your personal and musical growth. In our Oud class, I will guide you through everything from basic to advanced techniques. We will cover playing for all levels, correct left-hand use, synchronizing with the right hand, handling the pick, tuning the Oud, and effectively using a tuner and metronome. In the remaining time, we will dive into reading musical notes, starting with basic Solfege and progressing to advanced and oriental Solfege, including dictation exercises. This comprehensive approach ensures a well-rounded musical journey My recommendation for learning the Oud is to begin by studying musical notes and notation before delving into songs. While some students prefer to jump straight into playing songs, understanding the fundamentals of music notation accelerates progress in the long run. Deepening my knowledge of singing and passing on my skills to students are the things I love to do most and I have been teaching singing to beginners and professionals for many years now. I have a Master of fine arts (Department of Vocal and Acting Studies) from Lodz Musical Accademy in Poland and I've performed professionally as an opera singer in Baltic Opera. In 2020 I got a special scholarship from prestigious Accademia D'Arte Lirica in Italy. Apart from opera experience, I was a leader of the alternative rock band for many years. I am a songwriter, pop and jazz singer and singing teacher with 20 years of experience in music. I offer singing lessons at all levels. My lessons are aimed at developing body, muscular and vocal awareness that helps to perceive and consider our body as a musical instrument. My teaching method is the result of the synthesis of my experience as a singer and the many and diverse study paths followed. The lesson is structured in two parts: the first half devoted to vocal technique, the second half to the musical repertoire and learning the musical language (jazz or pop or other genre). The vocal technique that I propose is a basic technique for all types of modern singing: from postural education to the care of breathing, from the use of abdominal muscles, to the emission of air to the resonance cavities. Hey, I am a professional opera singer and a highly educated vocal teacher currently working as a soloist at the Opera of Cologne in Germany. I am a very dedicated and passionate singing teacher with almost 8 years of experience in the profession. I approach my students with great attention and care and together we achieve wonderful results! I hold a Master of Music in Opera degree with Distinction from the Dutch National Opera Academy in Amsterdam; a Master of Music with Distinction degree in Vocal Perfomance from the Royal College of Music in London; and a Bachelor of Music degree with Honours in Vocal Pedagogy from the Moscow University of the Humanities. I teach students of all ages and abilities, preparing them for vocal exams and auditions or simply helping them find and develop their voices for everyday life.
