Kora lessons for all levels with Yakhouba, professional korist. Born in The Gambia, Yakhouba began learning kora with his father at the age of five. He played with internationally renowned musicians, in Africa as in Europe, where he settled in the early 1980s: Sekouba Bambino, Kandia Kouyate, Ami Koita, Tata Bambo Kouyate, Diaba Kouyate, Mah Damba, and Dee Dee Bridgewater and Baaba Maal. From 2012 to 2019 he was also one of the three major members of the Kora Jazz Band, which performs worldwide. Yakhouba also regularly intervenes at the Cité de la Musique in Paris where he performs musical entertainment. He has already worked several times with town halls of Ile de France for courses or interventions in schools and animation centers. Classes take place at his home in Paris 18th, metro Jules Joffrin or Marcadet-Poissonniers.

Special viola de gamba course in Paris by an international musician. I tour a lot in Europe as a chamber musician and as a soloist. My repertoire ranges from the Middle Ages to contemporary music. In addition to my activities as an artist, I love to teach, to open the fascinating world of the viola da gamba to people. I have had students for many years and now I want to build a class here in Paris. All levels I teach in French, German, English, Czech and Dutch I studied at the Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität, at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Bale), at the Utrecht Conservatory and at the Amsterdam Conservatory. I graduated my studies with a Bachelor, as well as a Master (cum laude). I play (and teach) the whole family of the viola da gamba, including the old and the violone on the floor.

Hello! Being a singer and a singing teacher, many many times I have found myself in the situation of having to work on ear training, or solfège, or music theory... or all the above listed! Approaching music and having no clue of these elements can totally be intimidating and off-putting, but in 2023 I feel like it’s a pity that these subjects still are looked at with such a fear. I want to prove to you that building this basic knowledge can be easy, accessible, and not heavy at all! My program is not fixed: I’ll build it on your specific needs, whether they are preparing an exam, curiosity, or getting better at pitch matching... we will discuss it together. I have many books and materials, and I honestly prefer to draw blackboards by myself a lot of times. Unless you want to, I won’t ask you to buy any material, so the only cost that you will have to sustain is for the time of the class.

I have been playing guitar for over 30 years. Starting when I was 15 I walked 5 miles to pick up my first electric guitar and tried to learn all the Beatles songs I was listening to. Since then I have grown and developed new musical tastes and played in several recording bands. I am teaching my two children guitar and would love to share my love of music and the guitar withh other people/children. I thought this would be a great way to do it!!!
