I’m a man of logic and this has shaped my life so far. Illogical things baffle me and I really have hard time to figure them out. When I learn new things, I tend to believe that there should always be a logic behind it. This tendency helped me a lot with languages in general but with Turkish, it absolutely became an obsession. As a native speaker and a turcologist, I got the chance to discover the logic of Turkish and it developed me in my field since it is easier to teach something when you understand it thoroughly.

I am a caring teacher. I do care about your needs in your learning process.

Teaching Turkish is my business so I am always after improving my service quality and am always open to criticism. You should never hesitate to tell me what you don’t like about our lessons. Remember, you’re the boss here!

My feedbacks are always honest. If you did good, I will give you that. If you did bad, I won’t mention it because life itself is quite stressful and I don’t want your hobby to cause trouble to you. We cannot learn when we stress anyway, can we?

After years of experience, I’ve created my own curriculum to teach you the Turkish language and its grammar the most effective way possible. In this curriculum, quite literally, every step is crucial and I do not go further before I make sure you get everything right. In Kazakh, to learn and to get used to are the same verb. So yes, I will be keep giving homeworks on the lacking subjects that I spot until you get used to, ahem, learn them. And wait, no, I am not teaching Kazakh but Turkish. You're not on the wrong profile! It was just a cool example to justify my hard homeworks.

For the past two decades, I've had the privilege of tutoring in both French and English. My students have ranged in age, background, and origin, spanning children, teenagers, adults, professionals, and even seniors aged 85 and above.

You might wonder why I teach both languages. Well, I am bilingual, with American and Swiss/French roots, and I currently reside in Ireland. This unique blend of experiences equips me with a strong and relevant teaching approach. I possess an intimate understanding of both cultures, enabling me to tailor my classes to the specific needs of my students.

My teaching journey began during my time studying social work in French-speaking Switzerland. Even after graduating and embarking on a full-time career, I couldn't bear to give up this rewarding activity. I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments.
Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages.

The lesson is intended to meet the student needs: the focus can be on the grammar, conversation or literature. In case of a middle-level speaker, the lesson will cover all four language's abilities: listening, speaking, writing and reading. To the uninitiated, a grammar book seems to be written in another language because the meaning of the words is incomprehensible. In a down-to-earth way, I'll translate the grammar into familiar words. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning while having a positive mindset.

You can book a complete course with regular sessions or individual lessons to overcome a specific problem, such as pronunciation or a particular point in grammar.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.

When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster.

Learning is easy, but unlearning bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible.
