Maths and English as a foreign language tutor and exam preparation

من أنا؟
My name is Robert and am originally from Kent, in the south-east of England. I am married and have 3 young children, two of whom attend school here in Spain. I closely follow sports, and am an avid Leeds United FC (who?!) supporter. Until recently, I enjoyed downhill skiing, but a freak knee injury has, for now, put a stop to that. I am still, however, able to enjoy water sports and read a good book.

As a teenager, I attended Chatham House Grammar School, and later, went on to study at the University of Kent in Canterbury in the United Kingdom. I am a believer in lifelong learning, and am always looking at areas to develop myself further.

I am a certified teacher (QTS - qualified teacher status from the UK), specialising in secondary mathematics. I have been teaching for nearly 15 years and, from September 2022, will teach mathematics at Laude San Pedro International College. I have several years experience teaching secondary maths in England, Sweden, Slovakia and now Spain. I teach the British curriculum from years 7 to 13, progressing from key stage 3, through IGCSE and on to international A'level. In addition, I am an associate examiner for Pearson/Edexcel, the British examination body.
I also have experience of teaching English as a second language, and preparing students for Cambridge ESOL exams (Cambridge First, Advanced, Business) and hold CELTA certification (certificate in English language teaching to adults)
