I am a concert musician and I regularly work in Belgian orchestras such as the Brussels Philharmonic, the La Monnaie Orchestra and the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen.
I have been giving individual lessons at home for all ages and levels for 10 years.
I obtained a Master's degree in Violin in 2016, as well as a Master's degree in Music Didactics and Teaching (with High Distinction) from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.
I have taught violin in various private and public schools in Brussels, in individual and group lessons, to very young children as well as older ones:
-Dinant International Summer Music Academy (preparing students for entrance exams to Belgian Higher Conservatories)
-Berchem Sainte Agathe Music Academy (duo lessons and Suzuki group lessons for children and teenagers)
-Molenbeek Music Academy (duo lessons for children and teenagers)
-Brussels International Music Academy (individual lessons for children, teenagers, and adults)
-Focus on Music (individual lessons for children and teenagers)
-ReMuA (orchestra in primary schools, group violin lessons, introduction to violin in primary schools, musical awakening in nurseries and kindergartens, music culture courses in primary schools, conducting of children's and teenagers' orchestras, advanced teenagers' orchestra practice)
-The Musical Chair workshops (musical awakening in nurseries and kindergartens, solfège lessons, violin lessons)
Drawing on my extensive teaching experience in group and individual lessons in all types of structures and environments, I know how to adapt to the age of the learner and their desires, using games and fun, creative and interactive tools, and a varied musical repertoire.
I am open to suggestions for pieces/musical tastes and desires from adolescent and adult students.
Course outline for young beginners: interactive games to familiarize themselves with new elements, exercises and technical studies, music theory through games with fun card games, a short violin piece that combines the new elements learned. I opt for a method full of interactive games and a variety of different short activities, focusing on having fun.
For teenagers, in addition to working on violin repertoire, technique and solfège, I propose from time to time 10 minutes of musical culture during the lesson (listening to pieces, auditory analyses, discovery of musical styles, of the repertoire) for the development of artistic intelligence.
I provide the sheet music.
