In 2023, I've obtained a Master degree in Linguistics at the University of Amsterdam. I've achieved the C1+ levels in English, on the CEFR scale. I have 2 years of experience living in London, where I acquired RP (received pronunciation) and 7 years of experience in the International Academia (Amsterdam). My linguistic background gives me the capacity to explain the sounds and various processes of the language, from a perspective many natives do not know. In teaching, I practice the holistic approach. French is of course a beautiful, lilting language. Who doesn't want to learn it? I'd be happy to help you with that. In our minds we are already going on a trip to France and practice the situations you will encounter there. Depending on your goals and your level, we can go in all directions. Do you finally want to be able to have a conversation with the locals during the holidays? Then we work on that.
Do you have a house in France and you want to be able to talk to all handymen, then we will get to work.
And if you do a lot of business with French-speaking countries, we will choose a business French method and practice with the situations in which you need the language.
In short, we can go in all directions!
Because French is such a lilting language and the pronunciation is sometimes difficult, I like to work with chansons. By singing along you learn the pronunciation naturally and the lyrics of the songs can be the basis for a grammatical topic or a social topic to talk about. I am also working on a course based on the chanson. I'd be happy to tell you more about this.
