Hello, my name is Lara and I am a classical piano student at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in the heart of London. I offer private piano lessons at home (in French or in English) for people of all ages and all levels (beginners / intermediates / advanced), specializing more particularly in classical music. I can, however, adjust the program to suit the student's personal interests. Having already had experience in teaching, with children and adults, I know how to listen to the individual needs of my students, aiming to achieve their goal but above all to give them the pleasure of doing music! Classical Guitar is the most versatile style to master all others. I have a 20 year experience as a performer, graduated at the most prestigious colleges and played all over Europe the world. As a teacher I gave masterclasses to the highest level, taught in Conservatoires and prepared students to all level to GCSE, A level, 11 plus, Trinity and ABRSM exam with a 100% rate of success. I thought in several schools in London and privately too. The classes will be tailored around the student’s wishes and will comprehend technique, repertoire, reading, listening and building a repertoire to enjoy.

I cultivate students' interest in piano playing and musical development by teaching instrumental techniques, scales, music theory, and sight reading. I am welcomes students of all ages, backgrounds, and skills levels.

Jazz piano is an excellent route for people who are looking for a less book-focused, more aural approach to learning an instrument. I can tutor beginners to the piano or classical-converts who are looking to experience jazz by condensing my education down into core principles. This method of learning helps you move away from the books and to start enjoying the piano with more confidence and skill. I teach with a strong emphasis on theory and aural listening and with my resources I can take you through basics to more advanced lessons. I'm also fully equipped to teach music theory classes and to tutor in GCSE and A-Level music (composition, particularly) as well as teaching early level classical piano (up to ABRSM Grade 6). Whether you're looking for chord skills on the piano or want to become an improviser, these are the lessons for you!

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

These lessons are for young and/or inexperienced singers. My lesson plans are tailored towards students' individual goals. For some, this may be learning and embodying an audition song for their school's upcoming theater performance, and for others voice lessons are a first step towards singing healthily in their church choir. In any case, I focus on correcting and building core skills necessary to singing one's best while encouraging and fostering creativity, accountability, and motivation. If considered for a long-term journey towards singing, I will focus particularly on classical techniques to build steady breath control, good posture, and proper vowel and consonant formation. Along with providing repertoire, if the student is ready and wants, there will be opportunities for vocal performance in the Santa Cruz area. I will encourage audio recordings in all lessons to help with future preparations. I will be assigning some homework after every lesson, likely a combination of vocalization exercises, dedicated sheet music practice, and theory homework (if needed). *My first lesson will involve getting to know the student, their goals, and some vocalization to assess vocal level. For singers with minimal/no prior foundational music theory knowledge, I may recommend time from lessons (15-30 minutes) being allocated solely towards foundational music theory learning.

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else.
