ENGLISH-SPEAKING PIANO TUTOR I teach adults of all levels! I often mentor people who are just starting out, helping them develop their interest in the instrument and play the music they love. A lot of students come in with anxiety about how good or fast they're going to be able to learn. I work to build a respectful, supportive environment where you feel comfortable developing and learning at your own pace. For intermediate and advanced students, I teach with a particular focus on fundamental technique through études, and developing musicality. Oftentimes, as hobbyists, we have holes from our early studies that prevent us from developing later in life. My aim is to help correct that. You should leave with renewed confidence to tackle pieces that have intimidated or eluded you in the past. I hope to teach you soon!

I am a composer, pianist, teacher, and researcher based in Berlin. I hold a Bachelor's degree in jazz piano from the Conservatory of Vicenza, Italy, a Master's, and a PhD in composition from the University of Leeds, UK. In 2011, I attained a scholarship as promising student of the Conservatory of Vicenza. From 2006 to 2009 I was volunteer at a special needs-school, using music as a form of therapy. From 2013 to 2015 I studied Piano at the Conservatory ‘Prince Claus’ in Groningen, The Netherlands where I worked mostly as a performer. In 2019 my CD ‘Breaths’ was released by British label Another Timbre. My pieces have been broadcasted by Keith F’eM, Concertzender Radio, and Radio 3 and my scores have been published in IM–OS Improvised Music-Open Scores and THE MASS. I've been teaching piano, music theory, improvisation, and composition for 12 years now. When teaching I always attempt to organise targeted lessons that cover varying musical aspects depending on the students' skills and preferences. I teach either online or at the students' home., Charlottenburg-Berlin. I also offer engraving and arranging services.

In July 2019 he finished his Masters in the European Jazz Masters Programme through the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen with exchange semesters in Berlin and Amsterdam. Throughout his studies, he was lucky enough to receive artistic guidance by Colin Vallon, Django Bates, Harmen Fraanje, Simon Toldam, Peter Bruun, Greg Cohen, and Michael Moore. Julius was granted a scholarship by Lyra Stiftung Zürich in 2015 and 2016. Tours with his own bands have been supported by different fundings from Switzerland and Germany.
