Hi! My name is Charlie and I'm currently a member of the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen Orchestra. Teaching has been the foundation of my musical life for over a decade. My teaching studio has hosted a private studio in Oslo, New York, Connecticut and now Antwerp. While living in New York I was the viola and violin professor at Pluckd Studio where I helped prepare students for music festivals, auditions and to establish a sound foundational approach to instrumental playing. While a student at Juilliard, I coached students in Juilliard’s Pre-College/MAP program and helped lead children’s concerts in Chicago, Austin, New York and Oslo. Whether you are a beginner, conservatory student or young professional, you can expect a passionate and attentive lesson plan that will help you achieve your goals. As a orchestra musician since long time, I would like to offer help and training for orchestra auditions. I play in different countries in Europa (France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, UK etc.) : I am aware of the difference styles. I can teach in french and english, if necessary, in german too. I don't count the hours, usually it's between 90 and 120'

I am a professional violinist that will focus on your technique and musical abilities. Each lesson will be tailored for each student, creating an interesting and challenging program. For more advanced students, a more focused program can be discussed, such as preparing for auditions, exams, etc.

I have graduated with a double master with distinction from both Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen and the Royal College of Music in London. I am a professional viola player from Estonia, currently living in Antwerpen. I have studied in multiple conservatories in Europe and have been a member of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. I enjoy working with children and I have experience teaching toddlers violin from the age of 3. Of course at that age it's more about the discovery of the sound and rhythm in our bodies in general 😊 I have also taught adults and I must say that some of my best conversations and connections have been made through teaching music to grown ups who want to learn something for themselves. I have had total beginners as well as adults who once studied at a music school and had quit for various reasons. If you are already a student who just needs some support in technique/general music ideas, then I'm also very happy to help. I have been guided by many kind and knowledgeable teachers and I would love to share what I've learned over the years. I give violin lessons to beginners and advanced players. In a pleasant, playful atmosphere you will learn a solid basis for making music with confidence. In addition to the classical trajectory with lots of beautiful polyphonic music, I also give you the opportunity to improvise and find your own sound.

I have been learning the violin and piano since 5 years old, and am currently taking a bachelor's in Music Performance in Violin, at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. Students of any age are welcome, and I have special experience with beginner and younger students, having given a lot of lessons in piano and music theory. I teach in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and basic Dutch. The individual violin lessons are personalized and tailored to the progress and learning ability of each student. Emphasis is placed on developing good posture and ease of movement at the early stage. We will then continue to revise and enhance technique while taking on a more challenging repertoire as they progress. Lessons are stress-free and I always try to provide a safe and calm environment for an engaging and fun class! Games for little kids are an absolute must! This violin course is designed for beginners and intermediate students, and aims to develop the essential technical and musical skills for playing smoothly and expressively. The program includes learning the fundamentals of violin playing, such as correct posture, grip, and producing a clear tone. You'll work on scales and arpeggios to develop your dexterity, as well as bowing techniques to master different stroke patterns. Sheet music reading, musical analysis, and music theory practice are integrated into the course to strengthen your theoretical knowledge and music-reading skills. Alongside this, you'll explore a diverse repertoire, ranging from classical works to more contemporary pieces, and will have the opportunity to work in a group to improve your listening and coordination with other musicians. The course also includes personalized guidance to structure your practice and prepare you for performances, with an emphasis on musical expression and managing stage fright. My approach aims to make each student independent and to encourage their musical development in a caring and motivating environment.

This course is for viola and violin students from the beginner through the high school level, and any age from 5-99! My goal is for my students to foster a healthy and long-term relationship with their instrument. The course focuses on practicing and truly understanding technique, with an emphasis on listening. Weekly assignments tend to include technical exercises, scales, and classical pieces of the student's choice. Basic improvisation is also an interest of mine and, I find, a valuable experience for my string students. I believe repertoire is largely a matter of student taste. Students of mine have learned pieces in the Suzuki books and other classical repertoire volumes, but have also learned pop and fiddle songs according to their interest. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance from the University of Puget Sound, where I graduated in 2015 before moving to Vienna to study privately for three years. I am currently on hiatus from a Master of Viola Performance degree at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague . I have been teaching violin intermittently since 2009. While my musical education is classical, my performance interests are much wider. I have performed jazz and pop improv, and am currently exploring how hip hop can be implemented on the viola and violin.

I am a Liszt academy Master's graduate, specializing in violin performance, teaching for 6+ years, and enjoy sharing knowledge and experience with anyone interested in this beautiful instrument. In these classes, you will learn the practical and theoretical parts of playing the violin from level 0, as well as how to develop your skills with the highest musical, technical, and interpretation levels.
