I am a native English speaker from England with 14 years’ experience teaching general and business English, English for academic purposes and specific academic purposes, interview preparation, exam preparation – IELTS, Cambridge B1, B2, C1, and C2, Trinity GESE, and conversation. I have taught students of all ages, but I specialise in teaching adults, particularly those with a business focus. I provide all the class materials and give continuous feedback. I am a patient and empathetic person and I find it extremely fulfilling helping my students achieve their goals.

As well as teaching English, I have written two books on English grammar, created an online English course, and amassed over 290,000 followers across social media platforms, where I post English grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation lessons. #EnglishWithEm

Extra information

Online classes are taught via Zoom, Google Meet, or Skype, and I provide all the materials. For face to face classes, bring a pen and paper or laptop.
I take extensive notes during class, which I share afterwards via email or WhatsApp.

About Me

I'm an enthusiastic English teacher with 14 years' experience. I love teaching and I love the English language, so much so that I spend most of my free time creating educational content for social media.

My favourite kind of student is anyone who is keen to learn. As a student of Spanish, I understand how tough it can be to express yourself in another language and I always strive to make my lessons learner-centred and engaging, and to put my students at ease.

I create a calm, relaxed atmosphere, where you can feel comfortable speaking English.

Aside from teaching English and content creation, I love reading, travelling, and working out. I'm a bit of a workaholic, but I try to find time for walks and socialising too.

Hi! I'm Alejandro and I'm going to tell you a little about my training and methodology as a teacher:
--TRAINING--
I graduated in Translation and Interpreting (English, French and Italian), I studied the Master's degree in teaching staff and I successfully passed the teaching examinations of ESO, Baccalaureate and FP.
--TEACHING--
Currently I have been teaching English for 3 years in all ESO and Baccalaureate courses and my philosophy is to learn through fun and interaction. Fundamentally, I emphasize everything that the student finds difficult (writing, listening, reading or speaking) and I try to increase his linguistic level both with audiovisual and written means. In addition, I will try to customize the class as much as possible according to your needs, so that you feel that you are not wasting your time and you are really learning.
It does not matter what level you have (from basic to C2) it does not matter that you are ashamed to speak in another language, it does not matter that you think you are not valid for languages, what is really important is wanting to learn and from that, believe me, I have a lot of experience.
I will give advice when writing in English, exercises to practice pronunciation, conversations in English based on your preferences, readings adapted to your level, what more could you ask for?
