Trusted teacher: Note: ALL SUPPLIES & TOOLS ARE PROVIDED FOR THE STUDENTS FOR THE FIRST TEN (10) LESSONS — All canvas, stretcher-bars, panels, paper, brushes, pens, pencils, ink, charcoal, paints, varnish, etc. The finished artworks are, of course, your to keep. There are many ways to create a so-called "realistic" oil painting. And there are many visual tools that an artist can use to make a beautiful visual statement. Whether using thick impastos, thin washes of solvent-based color, bodied glazes, or mixed media elements, each technique can yield an engaging visual experience. Painting is, after all, a means of communication. In this course, we will begin with the basic ideas and techniques for drawing and painting forms as the eye sees them. You will learn every stage for producing aesthetically pleasing and technically strong oil paintings. We will discuss concepts and ideas for painting, developing different studies, stretching the canvas, line drawing, tonal lay-in, dead-coloring (or color block-in), and modeling the forms (1st painting, 2nd painting, and finishing). We will also cover the techniques of alla prima or premier coup (direct painting in one pass). We will also study the formal methods of composition, different kinds of perspectives, paint surface and paint quality (facture), and proportions. And, of course, we will discuss the use of varnishes, including the final picture varnish. Stay calm and confident if some of these terms are new to you. We will adapt the lessons for each artist. I will help you to learn, understand, and perform each step of the painting process. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced painter: there is something for you!

Trusted teacher: Hi! My name is Lara, I am a native Italian teacher, translator and sworn interpreter. I completed a Master's degree in Italian and French language and literature in Italy. I acquired a thorough knowledge of Italian grammar and teaching methods through past and current professional experiences in language teaching (language schools in Italy and Belgium). I helped students prepare for Italian exams (CILS, CELI). I work with interactive resources such as videos, magazines and music to help students learn easily and in a fun way. My teaching method is highly personalized, following the requests and requirements of the students. I enjoy introducing them to different aspects of the language, as well as the culture, traditions, and lifestyle of the Italian people. I make sure that the time spent with me is pleasant and friendly. Hello, My name is Lara, I am a native Italian teacher, translator and sworn interpreter. Peter is a great professional and I will recommend him to everyone who wants to learn or to improve the language. Peter prepared me for the interview for my dream job - I am sure if you are not a native speaker there is always a possibility for improvements :) He also gave me useful recommendations regarding the interview in general because he knows the system perfectly and reads between the lines. Peter adapted every class based on my needs and I saw the progress immediately. Important to mention it's obvious that he enjoys every class and really wants people to know his language :)

Maram

Maram is one of the best Arabic teachers I've ever had the pleasure of studying with. Very intelligent, and is particularly good at anticipating the student's questions and interests. Strong knowledge of Modern Standard Arabic, as well as Syrian and other dialects. Great personality that makes learning fun. Very flexible in accommodating student's interests; I can personally testify to her aptitude in discussing political materials at the advanced level. All in all, she has everything you might want in a tutor. I would highly recommend!

Leila is such a lovely person and a superb teacher. My first lesson was on a cold wet day, and Leila offered me a cup of tea and sunny smile. I thoroughly enjoyed my first lesson. Leila was so professional and organised throughout, while also creating a relaxed atmosphere which made me feel very comfortable and allowed me to try my best with my basic Portuguese! 10/10!
