I have been trained both classically and commercially. I prefer the commercial training because it allows the singer to focus more on the emotion when singing instead of posture and vocal techniques. Ofcourse there is a lot of technique that goes into it which we will focus on aswell, but in todays popular music the listener is looking for an emotion and a voice they can relate to. It can’t be too perfect and classical in the commercial scene today, that removes all the rawness and emotion that the listener is looking for, in my oppinion. I want to offer my potential students a safe place where they can belt their heart out or be vulnerable in their headvoice without judgement. I know I lacked this when i was growing up into this industry, and I would love to give the confidence of not caring too much and to teach how to be brave enough to sing with 100% emotion. I have performed extensively all over the UK as a soloist, most notably as a strings finalist on BBC young musician of the year, and at the Battle Proms concert series to audiences of up to 12,000. I've also delved into the Folk world a little and was on tv for the BBC Radio 2 folk awards as part of Jim Moray's band! I started officially teaching at 17, coaching local teachers more advanced students. From there I became Professor Berent Korfker's private assistant at 18, teaching his younger students from the Purcell School and alike. Being able to work with such talented students was extremely inspiring and excited me to start my own class with complete beginners on both violin and piano. I now have a hugely mixed class in both ability and age (4 to over 50!) with a 100% pass rate in their exams. My approach has always depended on the student's age, ability, and character. For younger students, I incorporate games, with them often wondering how the lessons finished so quickly! I like to create a fun environment for musical development where questions are encouraged, and all students are taught how to teach themselves and apply techniques learned in the lesson to the practice room.

I would like to thank Ajay for giving lessons to my two boy's ( 12 and 13 years ) and my daughter who is 14 year old. Ajay is passionate about his craft and is enthusiastic about imparting his knowledge to his students. His lessons are well planned and executed to give a sense of accomplishment to the students at the end of the session. I wanted Ajay to teach my children. However, he has managed to turn me from a silent spectator to an active participant !!!!
