Nicolas - Zurich177€
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We can work in: -Repertoire and interpretation. -Preparation for concerts and admissions to Conservatories or Universities. -Also musical reading and renaissance tablature. -Also Jazz, bossa nova and tango. -Music theory My classes are for: -Amateurs and advanced students. -Kids, young people, and adults. I can teach in English, Spanish, and High German. More about my classes My guitar teaching model is based on books and the approach of guitarist and pedagogue Abel Carlevaro. In some way, it is about understanding and analyzing the nature of the movements we make to play the guitar in the simplest way possible. Just as to build a building you need a good foundation, to build a system of skills that allows us to be musicians, we need to know and practice in a conscious way all the movements we do. These movements are what we do when we play just one open string or what we need to do to play the most difficult piece of the repertoire. I pay special attention to achieve a good balance in teaching. I try to make the student develop at the same time the techniques to play the guitar and the artistic sensibility needed to make music. Because no matter the technical level of the student, my classes will always be oriented to making music and to be able to enjoy the processes that the musical activity involves. A simple guitar piece takes on another dimension if the basic principles of musical interpretation are applied. After getting to know and listening to how my students play I propose a short and medium term work plan. This plan is presented taking into account the objectives and wishes of each student. Exercises and pieces are included that will also allow to know the repertoire of the guitar. Therefore, each work plan includes specific and general contents.

In my lessons, we work deeply on harmonic analysis, counterpoint, and musical structure across the full spectrum of academic music from all historical periods, as well as jazz and popular music. A central pillar of the classes is the analysis of composers, which we approach as an essential tool for understanding musical language and developing a personal creative voice. Depending on the student’s interests, analysis may range from Mozart to Debussy, or from Beethoven to Bartók, among many others. A strong emphasis is placed on counterpoint from all historical periods. I assist students with conservatory-level exercises, and we study contrapuntal techniques through the analysis and practice of Bach’s inventions and fugues, Renaissance counterpoint, and 20th-century contrapuntal approaches. In composition classes, the content is fully adapted to the student’s creative needs and goals. The focus is on developing practical creative tools that support original thinking, with the clear objective of composing original pieces of short, medium, and long duration, tailored to each student’s artistic direction. For orchestration, we explore writing techniques for a wide range of ensembles, including chamber music, full orchestra, and popular music formations such as quartets, quintets, big band, and tango orchestras. Particular attention is given to instrumental color, balance, articulation, and idiomatic writing. As an Argentinian composer and educator, I offer a specialized perspective on tango, including in-depth analysis of composers such as Astor Piazzolla, as well as composition and orchestration techniques related to tango. Due to the geographical and cultural proximity, I also offer classes focused on Bossa Nova, exploring its harmonic language, rhythmic structures, and stylistic characteristics. Lessons are suitable for students at different levels, from beginners to advanced musicians, and are tailored to individual academic, professional, or creative goals.

Trusted teacher: 📌It doesn't always take two for things to work... To begin to connect, assimilate and experiment with new KNOWLEDGE, the most IMPORTANT thing is the body, the attitude, perseverance and a great pinch of confidence! I always like to approach the codes of different dance disciplines, based on structures that work on the physical, rhythmic, and creative aspects. There is an idea that Tango is difficult to learn, and of course if we approach it with that label, it will be that way. Starting from the main concept of tango, WALKING, something that we all do most of the time, dancing tTANGO is within everyone's reach.🤗 Another very important point is the way to assimilate and understand it 😉😅 ❤️‍🔥What will the classes be like, you ask? I'll tell you a little bit, we are going to develop the structure in the work of weight changes, the step, projection of the walk, the pivot, understanding the kinesphere individually and as a couple translated into the hug, the turns and the spiral torso to understand the momentum in various exercises, the eights so famous in tango, the basic step and universal exit, walks with the concept of lanes and much more from various sequences that familiarize you with the technical needs to be able to perform the steps without leaving aside the dynamics, pulse, accent and compas of the tango. Everything will be raised in the background in a more organic way. It's not just about learning individual steps, and then...what do we do 🧐? It is not the form that should take the leading role, but the way in which you express that form. We will also let your creative and playful side be part of the process, through a tool that I consider very valuable, which is improvisation 👌 since it allows you to find your own style and recognize your strengths and weaknesses to continue growing in your passion for dance. With all these tools, entering the world of more complex sequences and why not, creating your own, will be one more step and not an impossible challenge to achieve.🤩 Don't forget that the steps that are known today and a large part of the sequences emerged from a restless and creative mind, which explored synonymous with IMPROVISE❗️ Let's go through the process together and hold each other in a hug.

I had the BEST time learning to dance with Linda! I have always considered myself to be someone with "two left feet" and was very nervous to start, but Linda did a great job of building my confidence right from the start! Linda tailored the classes exactly to my needs, and was really communicative and flexible with scheduling. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn to dance in Bogotá!
