Zeljana is very personable. She teaches and explains very well.
My first encounter with Zeljana was a quite enjoyable experience. Even if first lessons are typically meant to know each other, check the starting point and evaluate possible learning directions, Zeljana could immediately provide useful feedback. Nonetheless, she is quite easygoing and surely likes to teach. Therefore, I decided to start a consistent path with her - I can suggest others to do the same.
Nice and experienced person. Very flexible: she can optimize lessons for the person she teaches to.
Knowledgeable and professional!
Very friendly and professional. great teacher

Privater Gitarrenunterricht - alle Stufen - Flamenco/Spanische-Gitarre/Alte-Guitarren
Rafael (EN) Classical guitar/Flamenco guitar/Lute/Early Guitar(s) Klassische Gitarre/Flamencogitarre/Laute/Alte Gitarre(n) Hello everyone, thank you for checking my profile! I am guitarist and lutenist from Spain with 15 years of experience in music performance and I have taught in different music schools to students from very different ages and levels. For my lessons, neither age nor level is an impediment to teaching musicality and guitar technique. My principal aim is to unveil the intrinsic qualities of the student, in a natural and progressive way, through the enjoyment of the music. We can work on many different musical styles of classical musica and it’s different styles, languages and notation sources. On music popular styles like "flamenco" (rumbas, fandangos, alegrías, sevillanas, etc) and its different ways of strumming, scales, harmony structures and "compás". Or we can deep in the huge and fantastic world of early music through the tablatures and manuscripts from the XVI century. Whether for amateurs, advanced students, kids, young people or adults. Either for auditions, preparation for concerts, music schools, music exams, hobby or just for love of the guitar. You are all welcome to join my lessons. I can teach in English, Spanish and "ein bisschen Deutsch".

Music - Guitar and musical knowledge: music theory, harmony and style
Guitar lessons: the mandate of guitar teacher is defined by the fact of being methodical, that is to say having an exact knowledge of the specifications: practice of playing with both hands, musical reading, knowledge of music theory , harmony... so many criteria which also participate in an encounter, that between the person who proposes and the one who wishes to emancipate themselves through an instrument specific to individual expression.

Vincent
Classical guitar and music theory lessons by a qualified teacher from the Conservatory
Whether you are an adult or younger, did you know that with the proper methods, follow-up and advice, you can reach in 2 years the equivalent of what is achieved in 10 years in music school? The passion and pleasure of playing will quickly make you forget the minimum 1h30 of daily practice necessary for this beautiful and pleasant feat. This is the challenge I set myself by offering you these courses. Practicing classical guitar for 27 years, graduated from the National Conservatory of Limoges, I teach guitar (beginner to advanced levels). My method is distinguished by a perfect combination of high standards and attention paid to the pleasure of playing. Passionate about music theory (rhythms, musical notations and other aspects that seem tedious to many), I know how to transmit this taste for musical technique. The pleasure of play develops when you feel your progress, and these come with regular work. I therefore ask for attendance and regularity of at least 1 hour of practice per day. Depending on the students, the frequency of lessons can be bi-weekly or bi-monthly, and will be defined together, while remaining flexible. I can also advise you on the purchase of a classical guitar. Note: the practice of the classical guitar requires short nails on the left hand, and nails overflowing just beyond the tip of the finger, on the right hand, at all times. This allows an inimitable sound quality. References on request Follow up by email/phone as needed between lessons. Examples of pieces you will be able to play after a year: works by Bach, Giuliani, Fernando Sor, Carcassi, Aguado, Jeux Interdits, baroque flamenco, romantic works

Alternative Piano Lessons: Learn by ear and have fun!
I teach Piano in a fun, laid-back and casual way, always structuring my lessons around the students' needs and tastes. Please note: I specifically do not teach piano with notations or scores of any sort. My method of teaching is based on playing by ear, with emphasis on the music and the joy in playing it, rather than the theory. Notation is great and theory is important - I studied these myself; however, I have found that learning an instrument by ear is a far deeper, enjoyable and progressive way to get to know your instrument. I also place importance on technique and memorization, again tailoring these to the needs and wishes of the student. My methods have proven very successful and I'm confident your playing will improve quickly! I teach both children and adults, teenagers and grandparents :-) Maybe you already play, but would like some help improving your improvisational skills? Or perhaps you are a complete beginner and just want to find out, if this instrument is for you? Get in touch! Some background to my instruments: Piano: I initially taught myself the piano and took lessons later on. My main or favourite styles on the piano are: Blues & Boogie Woogie, Traditional Jazz, Rock n' Roll, Pop and Soul. I love many forms of Classical music as well. Guitar: I taught myself guitar as a kid and play both acoustic and electric. My favourite styles on the guitar are, on the one hand, heavy Rock, Metal and Punk, and on the other gentle Jazz, Blues and ballads :-) Drums: this became my main gigging instrument between '10 and '20. I mostly focus on funky grooves, hard Rock or Metal, Pop, Jazz, Swing; some rudiments, lots of grooves :-)

Flamenco & Blues guitar teacher in Zürich for all ages
I‘m 24 years old man from Slovenia. I‘ve been playing guitar for almost 10 years now, I compose and dive deep into the and art of it. I‘m very interested in teaching and seeing how a person is developing it’s skills once they dedicate themselves to the subject. My approach is very precise and if one desires so, I‘ll teach from total basics as reading the notes and other music theory or we can also work from tabs. I lived in Spain, Granada for some time where I‘ve been to the fountain and the roots of flamenco itself and became more familiar with it. I studied art pedagogy when I was in university in Slovenia, where I learned some pedagogy basics, but I think a teacher has to see beyond the frame and find it‘s own way of passing the knowledge. I speak spanish, english, croation and Slovenian fluently and I speak some basic German and Italian, but I started to work more seriously on both of them. I teach at my home, but offer webcam lessons and also can come to student‘s house but charge additional costs for travel.

He is currently living and studying in Zürich, Switzerland, doing a Master’s Degree program in early plucked string instruments at the ZHdK with Eduardo Egüez. He studied in Buenos Aires with Marcela Sfriso and Eduardo Isaac. As part of his training, he also took several courses and seminars with renowned guitarists, such as Pablo Márquez, Eduardo Fernández, Walter Ujaldón, and Miguel de Olaso. In the last ten years, he was featured regularly as a soloist and with different ensembles in the main concert halls in Buenos Aires city, such as CCK, Usina del Arte and Centro Nacional de la Música. He has also performed in Paraguay, Switzerland and Italy. In 2009 he founded the Camerata Argentina de Guitarras (guitarist and Artistic Director 2009-2019). In 2014 he released his first solo album "Morro de Saudade”. He has made national and international premieres of Latin-American composers such as Leo Brouwer and Javier Farías, with an ensemble and as a soloist. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We can work in: -Repertoire and interpretation. -Preparation for concerts and admissions to Conservatories or Universities. -Also musical reading and renaissance tablature. -Also Jazz, bossa nova and tango. -Music theory My classes are for: -Amateurs and advanced students. -Kids, young people, and adults. I can teach in English, Spanish, and High German. More about my classes My guitar teaching model is based on books and the approach of guitarist and pedagogue Abel Carlevaro. In some way, it is about understanding and analyzing the nature of the movements we make to play the guitar in the simplest way possible. Just as to build a building you need a good foundation, to build a system of skills that allows us to be musicians, we need to know and practice in a conscious way all the movements we do. These movements are what we do when we play just one open string or what we need to do to play the most difficult piece of the repertoire. I pay special attention to achieve a good balance in teaching. I try to make the student develop at the same time the techniques to play the guitar and the artistic sensibility needed to make music. Because no matter the technical level of the student, my classes will always be oriented to making music and to be able to enjoy the processes that the musical activity involves. A simple guitar piece takes on another dimension if the basic principles of musical interpretation are applied. After getting to know and listening to how my students play I propose a short and medium term work plan. This plan is presented taking into account the objectives and wishes of each student. Exercises and pieces are included that will also allow to know the repertoire of the guitar. Therefore, each work plan includes specific and general contents.

Apollonia Maria
Beginner to Advanced Lessons for Guitar Players for all ages
After dedicating 14 years to mastering the guitar, I've developed a comprehensive understanding of guitar playing, encompassing both foundational techniques and advanced music theory. In these lessons, I'll be sharing the wealth of knowledge I've accumulated over this extensive period of learning. I will be covering a broad range of guitar techniques, including fingerpicking, strumming techniques, major and minor chords, power chords, barre chords, riffs, scales, finger warm-ups, practising any song of your choice, string bending, pull-offs, hammer-ons, harmonics, strumming patterns, and slides. All are provided with diagrams etc. For music theory, I will begin by covering the fundamentals, including notes, strings, and the musical 12-note chromatic scale alphabet on the guitar. As students progress, we will delve into more advanced topics such as tones, semitones, chord progressions, circle of fifths, scale formulas and chord terminology. Additionally, we will explore concepts like consonance and dissonance and pitch practice to develop relative pitch. (You have to be born with perfect pitch but you can learn relative pitch with practise!) Then advancing to jazz theory, we'll explore; jazz scale formulas, jazz chord progressions, swing techniques, major and minor 7th chords, major and minor 9th chords, dominant, augmented, half-diminished, diminished, sus2 and sus4 chords. And then jazz scales and the art of re-harmonising a song (changing the chords to jazz chords). All music theory will be intertwined with guitar practice as both can't be done without the other! One observation I've made while learning guitar through lessons is that information is often doled out incrementally, making it feel like a breadcrumb trail. Guitar knowledge and skills seem to be closely guarded and usually gatekept unless actively sought out. I strongly believe that the extensive knowledge I've acquired over 14 years of playing should be fruitfully shared in a more comprehensive and accessible manner, of course while being tailored to the pace of the students. In essence, I'm convinced that the depth of my understanding I've gained could be effectively conveyed and learnt within a two-year timeframe without including the time it takes to master the skill with practice, of course, I'd like to make it easier for people to learn the guitar and the theory behind it. I have also graduated with a distinction for my Music Performance and Production UAL Level 3 Course and have experience teaching guitar in London and Bristol before. The lessons will be taught in English so practising your English with me is also a plus, a foundational knowledge of English is required to take the lessons.
