A little bit about me: My name is Bozhidar and I am a MSc Data Science student at ETH Zuerich. Last year, I completed my bachelor's in Computer Science at TU Delft (the #1 technical university in the Netherlands) with distinction. I was a teaching assistant for 10 courses during my stay at the university. Additionally, I have given private lessons to a few high school and bachelor's students, so I believe I have accumulated enough experience with guiding and tutoring students across different disciplines. I have found out that I enjoy teaching a lot, so that is why I am here - to help you and myself! My expertise: During my high school years, I won tens of awards and scholarships for achievements in Mathematics and Computer Science. I also won my high school's recognition award which is given to one student every year for distinctive results. This bright curiosity fueled me to the International Physics Olympiad, where I won the Silver Medal twice in a row, alongside dozens of medals and special awards from other international competitions, such as the European Physics Olympiad or the Asian Physics Olympiad. 5 years ago, I decided to share my love for Physics with other students, so I became a private tutor. So far, I worked with students of all ages and difficulties. From students with difficulties to students who wanted to be selected for the International Olympiad. From middle school, up to the university level. All my students saw tremendous progress, with many rising from the bottom of the class to the top, and others dominating the rankings of the most challenging Physics competitions. (Reviews below) As well as instrumental teaching and ensemble coaching of at all levels over the last 12 years, I’ve led numerous professional workshops, including ‘Music First’ and ‘Music Masters’ workshops in London and was an assistant on the Primary Arpeggione viola course and at the Springgrove music competition. As a member of the European String Teachers’ Association, I participated in their conferences across Europe. I have prepared students for music exams at all levels, working with them on music theory, aural and sight reading skills, and regularly accompany students on the piano. As a performing musician, I perform internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, recently including at the Victoria Hall in Geneva, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg and Philharmonie in Berlin. Toby is an outstanding instructor and works with children very naturally. My 11 year old son has been taking lessons with Toby for over two months and is eager for each lesson. Toby is extremely talented, but beyond that, he engages my son deeply with the music itself, fundamental techniques, music theory, and even the interpretation of the music. Toby is kind, encouraging, and works with students at a level that is appropriate. He has allowed my son to chose music that if fun and interesting to practice, even though the pieces are challenging. In fact, I often sit in to listen to the lessons, as they are so good. My son has had a couple of lessons with Toby while company has been over, and everyone has commented on how amazing Toby is as an instructor. I can not recommend Toby enough and hope to continue lessons with him for a long time. Pamela B. Toby is really a great teacher who teaches the pieces well and brings out more of the feeling in the playing. We particularly liked that. Good technique is one thing, but feeling the music is such an important element in music and learning a piece of music. He also teaches theory very well! Tatyana M. Toby is a fantastic teacher. He is very reliable as he is consistently organised and punctual. I constantly see progress in my child’s music skills because every lesson Toby delivers is effective and well-structured. Had my first lesson with Cuihong and really enjoyed it. She helped me with basic pronunciation (so good help for a complete beginner like me) and taught me some interesting tidbits. She was also very quick and reliable to answer my mails through Apprentus, and is a friendly person. Looking forward to continuing lessons with her!

Studied with Thea during my time in Zurich. It was a real pleasure taking classes with her. Always on time and ready for the class. Very proactive in our conversation practice classes. Helped me with speaking /Chinese characters and whatever questions I had. Highly recommend Thea if you want to improve your level in Chinese .

We are just getting started, but our experiences with Oliver have been great so far. He is prompt to communicate, professional and very patient.
