Hi all! I'm an active Spanish Bass player and multi-instrumentalist well versed in diverse music styles as Latin, Flamenco, Blues, Jazz, Pop, Rock and many others.

In a brief overview of my background. I bring extensive experience as a guitar, bass, and ukulele instructor, having taught students of diverse ages and skill levels. Whether guiding beginners through their first chords or refining techniques for advanced players, I am committed to bring a supportive and engaging learning path.

Moreover, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Interpretation with a focus on electric bass at Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona. This formal training, coupled with years of practical experience, equips me with a comprehensive understanding of music theory, technique, and performance practices.

Hi all!

My name Josep, i’m a Bass Player based between Barcelona and Uster.

I’ve been an active bass player since 2015, playing for different bands and styles like rumba, pop, flamenco, salsa, rock, blues, amongst others. And also a teacher since 2016 on different schools and also by my own, teaching guitar and electric guitar, electric bass, ukulele, music theory and reading and leading combos in different music styles.

As far my studies go i’ve got a BA Major in Performance with Electric Bass cursed in Barcelona at Conservatory of Liceu.

It is important to me to respond to the specific wishes of the student for the electric bass. That means that you can show me what you would like to achieve musically. This can be, for example, a piece that you would like to learn or a specific groove. We will then work together on a program especially for you to achieve your goals.
I am very open in style and also love improvising.

Whether you are an adult or younger, did you know that with the proper methods, follow-up and advice, you can reach in 2 years the equivalent of what is achieved in 10 years in music school? The passion and pleasure of playing will quickly make you forget the minimum 1h30 of daily practice necessary for this beautiful and pleasant feat. This is the challenge I set myself by offering you these courses.

Practicing classical guitar for 27 years, graduated from the National Conservatory of Limoges, I teach guitar (beginner to advanced levels).

My method is distinguished by a perfect combination of high standards and attention paid to the pleasure of playing.

Passionate about music theory (rhythms, musical notations and other aspects that seem tedious to many), I know how to transmit this taste for musical technique.

The pleasure of play develops when you feel your progress, and these come with regular work. I therefore ask for attendance and regularity of at least 1 hour of practice per day. Depending on the students, the frequency of lessons can be bi-weekly or bi-monthly, and will be defined together, while remaining flexible.

I can also advise you on the purchase of a classical guitar.

Note: the practice of the classical guitar requires short nails on the left hand, and nails overflowing just beyond the tip of the finger, on the right hand, at all times. This allows an inimitable sound quality.

I offer guitar lessons for children, teenagers and adults. I have been giving private lessons using tablature or sheet music for 7 years.

Style range: classical, rock, pop, blues, funk, reggae, jazz, flamenco, folk, accompaniment with vocals, improvisation, etc.

The lessons can take place in Zurich, Affoltern (there are parking spaces for visitors in front of my house), via Skype or at your home.

Teaching languages offered: German, English, French and Czech.

I've been performing professionally since I was 18 and my journey in music took me to a jazz school in Toulouse, France. My style blends latin music with a variety of modern popular genres like pop, funk, hip-hop, reggae and jazzy flavours.
